I think most of these "rappers" never had the passion for the game. Take Lil Baby as an example, dude barely wanted to rap, he just wanted to make money, now that he got what he wanted he doesn't feel the need of improving or switching his sound

@@10toesant All his music b4 MM is fye (except ! coz i jus never got to listening to it yet) yes even Pegasus he jus moved to a RnB sound when the genre was basically dying so ppl didnt fw it, even happened to Don T wit Life of a Don, ppl didnt really fw it coz it wasnt hype Don T n his last album was one of his lowest selling. But getting back to Trip, he jus aint releasing the right songs coz he got insane songs in the vault like that one snippet of him in the woods n Bando kid. Kinda like Uzi recently he jus needa know which songs is right to drop. Thats why the new version of ALLTY 5 wasnt good

I agree they lose their ambition but a lot of that has to do with being locked down in shitty record deals and dealing with A&Rs that think they know what the fans want but they don’t. They got these artists following agendas .

i think a big part of it is comparing where u think they should be and where they actually are, like i’m a fan of drake he’s probs in my top 10 but i lowkey find myself hating on him cus numbers wise he’s the goat rapper and i don’t think he deserves that many numbers. Compare that to someone like ken carson who is just in the mainstream this last year i think he deserves a lot more numbers so ill fanboy him. It’s easy to see everyone raving about something and put them down and it’s also easy to find something u think is great but no one else fw it so u feel like u have to put people onto it
