When Marvel and DC had that big crossover, fans were allowed to vote on certain matchups, including Wolverine vs. Lobo. Due to Wolverine's popularity, of course he won. The one page fight just showed them wrestling until they were behind the bar, then Wolverine stood up to smoke a cigar. Lobo later insinuated in his own comic book that he was paid to throw the fight. Everyone knew that Lobo would actually win. Also, Storm beat Wonder Woman. I was a bit surprised because I thought Wonder Woman was both more popular and would actually win, but looking back, X-Men ruled the 90s and Storm was the only Black superhero in any of the fights so she had to represent hard. Edit: Sorry, I wrote this reply before watching the video and now I see that you discussed that fan vote fight. Keith Giffen's purpose of redesigning of the original Valorpian version of Lobo was to create an exaggerated parody of the type of character Wolverine was in the 80s. He was surprised that Lobo became popular. Kind of like how The Beastie Boys' "Fight for Your Right" was poking fun at the type of frat boys who like to party but became popular because it was adopted as an anthem for frat boys who like to party. Giffen's Lobo was basically Wolverine with stats boosted to the point that he could kick Superman's ass.

With the exception of Batman (and even he gets there with how DC often portrays him), pretty much every DC character is an unfathomable god that's so overpowered, it's kind of silly there's even any ongoing comics about them. Marvel's characters are written to be normal people who happen to have amazing abilities. Though the power creep hit them post 2000, they're still not on DC's style of nigh omnipotent gods.

In one comic during the 90s, Colossus and Wolverine were fighting and Logan's adamantium claws were only able to scratch Piotr's Metal form. Of course, in a recent comic they had to retcon that.

Only reason Lobo could win is because of the plot armor they string up about him, nothing more. If you look at Wolverine's lore, they made him powerful but not too powerful. They made him deadly in close ranges but also vurneable to the likes of Magneto (who can control his body through Magnetism) and known to unable to revive himself when Wolverine drowns. Lobo on the other hand is like Superman. They kept on making him more and more riddiculosly powerful just to sell comics. And that is all there to Lobo. A "character" which cannot be killed because the writers are too lazy to add permanent weakness to the character.

Like heaven or hell can't deal with him so they banned him making him immortal with his healing factor being able to regrow anything and from any injury without any real weakness. Only everyone else on his race can be killed throught different means.

@ - No, it is laziness which DC is famous for. Take Batman for example. He started of as a guy in a bat suit with only advantage he had was his tech and his wits. They kept making him stronger and stronger to the point that the tech had been sidelined altogether. Same with Aquaman. Started off talking to fish. Nowadays, he could lift submarines? And let's not get started with Superman. That's the difference between Marvel comic and DC comic. Lobo has a much, much better healing factor and his strength is Kryptonian level. Although Lobo is not considered a speedster, he is fast enough to tag people who are as fast as speedsters. He can keep fighting after having his head smashed to paste or being reduced to a skeleton. He survives in the vacuum of space. He can even smoke a cigar in the vacuum of space somehow. He's surprisingly intelligent. He can make any advanced weapon he wants. He has even punched intangible ghosts. I don't think he has that ability to make duplicates of himself anymore. Vril Dox took that ability away with some operation. Lobo referred to it as being neutered. Lobo is just on another level than Wolverine. He would throw Wolvering into the sun.

I love wolverine, however, I don’t think Wolverine even has the strength to break lobos skin. That being said, I don’t think Wolverine has the strength to break the hulks skins, but due to his popularity, he gets written to be able to do more damage then he should be able to do.

It's really simple. Lobo. He cannot permanently die due to Divine Mandate. And he's been a Squirrel. But you know who can beat Lobo? Squirrel Girl. Because Lobo has been a squirrel.

Much as I like Wolverine, Lobo would win. His big weakness according to Superman is that he gets sloppy and careless. He doesn't always think things through. But with enough power you win fights anyway.

Big issue, Lobo is bounty hunter, if Woverine is not the target, then Lobo is going to get furiously annoyed with dealing with Woverine. THE Main Man would win, but. Not be interested in the effort required to put Woverine down.

What people always forget is that these characters aren't strong or tough in the traditional sense. They are the way they're potrayed. So yes, Wolverine can beat Lobo and vice versa... but it's all based on what the artist or fans want at the time. I'm sure Adamantium is super strong and durable, but cutting into all those people like it's nothing was purely the artist deciding it could work.

Danco forgot about Lobos invite sack of weapons. Lobo has weapons in there that could 1 shot Wolverine. Wolverine can be killed and he can die. Lobo is unkillable. You have an Immortal that is at God Level Strength and Power, fighting a flea.
