I bought it because I wanted it small. I'm using it as a virtual controller for my computer completely across the room. It's perfect for my needs. I already have a 25 key Alesis and a full sized Yamaha for direct keys to my DAW.

I have the AKAI MPK mini mk3 and I love it. Only thing I miss are the transport buttons. Comparing to this the Donner looks amazing! It has everything I need, but the only thing it's (for me) missing are knobs, instead of faders. Other than that, solid product! I would get myself one, if I would not have the AKAI already. Maybe they'll release another one with Knobs, then I would replace mine with that.

Yep hoping they add knobs for the pitch and modulation wheels, and this would be super bad ass

It looks pretty dope ( aesthetics). I also saw a microphone from this company, it's called the dc-87. I would like to try it.

Hi! I’ve been looking into buying a MIDI controller, and after doing some research and watching your videos, I think I’ve narrowed it down to the Akai MPK Mini Plus and this Donner. I’ve been a guitarist for many years, but when it comes to piano, I can play standard chords, so I’d consider myself a beginner. Also, as a university student living away from home, I’d like something portable, maybe something that could fit in a backpack and that I can take on a plane. I think I’d primarily use the MIDI controller to make backing tracks for my guitar, but also to start learning how to play more complex chords and perhaps a few simple melodies on the keyboard. Do you think those 12 extra keys would make a difference? Or for what I’d use it for, is the Donner already good enough? Because the difference in dynamics seems really big, especially regarding the pads, so I’m leaning towards the Donner, but I’m afraid I might feel too limited in the future because of the lack of keys.

Hey, you end up pulling the trigger? lol. I am in a very similar boat. I think I'm leaning towards not stressing the 12 keys, but man. I'm gonna be annoyed if I end up annoyed.

@@ProggerforLincoln Yep I only found out this after I bought it. No reviewer said this and I told the manufacturer they need to change the manual and promo material as it's misleading.

Just bought it but damn you are not kidding, the hoops you have to go through just to get it functioning are ridiculous.. Its going back into the box and sitting until I actually need something this advanced when all I was looking for was a basic keyboard with USB connection. Thankfully got it for only 60$ on black friday deal but definitely see why.

IT IS NOT "PRO": it HAS HIDDEN PROBLEMS Sensitivity of keys is good but with a shocking DEFECT: the next note PLAYS only if you hit it after having completely lifted your finger from the key. If you play fast notes and don't completely detach your fingers, the keys DO NOT PLAY.
