I love that JB referenced the confusing aspects of Olympic-style wrestling. As a former wrestler, this is one of the biggest downsides to freestyle wrestling- the subjectivity associated with points ("Should that have been two points? Or four? Or none?") and it makes it extremely hard to get new fans drawn in. There are multiple matches with freestyle wrestlers in the midst of wrestling, and they themselves are confused by the points. That should be fixed (such as the no-overtime rule, imho it hurts us) so we can get more fans in.

I don't know if Jordan likes Pro Wrestling or not, but if he takes to the sport he could be the 2nd coming of Kurt Angle. He is well spoken, young, and just has a level of prestige that is incomparable. He could be a huge hit in that world.

Well he's a skilled wrestlers and all, but idk about that. The reason Kurt Angle shined wasn't bc he was an Olympian it's because he was able to play a really good character and worked well in the attitude/ruthless aggression era. Now if you mean in ring I think Burroughs could very well be exactly like angle and catch on fast.

Ben Askren, Gregor Gillespie, Yoel Romero (has taken a lot of damage despite not being KOd), Mark Coleman, Chris Weidman etc... Not saying you’re wrong by any means mate. Nahh, with his fame and wrestling pedigree (considered one of the GOATs, better than Askren, Cormier, etc) he would make a fuckton of money in the UFC. And he's such a great athlete, I see him making a similar style that Khabib has; where his wrestling is so fucking good, that nobody could stop the takedown. If he spent 75% of his time training BJJ, 30% striking, and then the other 5% pure wrestling just to stay sharp... the dude would be world class in a few years. But, he is 32 years old now. So if he'd been doing MMA for 8 years (like he said if he got into it when he graduated college in 2012), he would be in the prime of his career right now. And in my opinion he would no doubt be a world champ. But early 30s is the end of your physical prime. So his career wouldn't have much longevity. Honestly tho, he should get into MMA, win 4 or 5 pro fights in some random org (he would beat the shit out of those lowest level pros, even with barely any training), then get into the UFC. Then have a few HUGE fights. He wrestles in 74Kg, which is 164lbs so he would compete at 155. There would be some amazing matchups with other high level wrestlers, and his name is so big you could have him headlining payper views. The UFC would give him a fucking big contract because of how famous he is. So he'd make probably 6 figures per fight, then have a few PPV where he gets points, make a cool few million dollars in 4 to 5 years, then retire. He wouldn't get too much brain damage and make insane money. BUT, as a fighter myself, I'll never be mad at someone who wants to avoid getting hit in the head. It just breaks my heart as a wrestling and MMA fan we'll never see him in the octagon lol.
