I love the complexity of arc shots of the stringer. It’s so fun, and really rewarding (especially on tower control). I love these vids man!

Is there a video on chargers. I get kills with the stringer, but I cannot understand chargers. Unless you have perfect aim, you are a sitting duck as you try to snipe.

@@plaidhatter1674 I'm not sure...I'm not very knowledgeable on the charger realm of things. Maybe look at some splatoon 3 tournaments to learn the positioning. There are some pretty decent guides out there too to get you started

I understood the part about aiming downwards, so there is that done. Aiming slightly upwards when farther away makes sense. I really like this guide, it's really great.

This really highlights how much I need to start spending some more time in the testing area. Have been getting rather sloppy with my shots and falling into bad habits with the tri-stringer as of late. Thanks for the break down even after spending 100+ hours with the Tri-Stringer it's nice to have a list of things to think about when practicing. Subscribed and belled weeks ago and always look forward to seeing a new vid pop up!

Reef Lux is so fun to play (missiles aside). I love going on a rampage with charge shots, and even though it’s usually outclassed by other shooters it’s still a blast with proper spacing. I started running thermal ink on it for the occasional arc splat. Although it’s less likely to pull it off it’s all the more satisfying when it does.

I hope Reef Lux gets its tap shots toned down and higher missile cost, it seems like a cool weapon but playing it optimally atm is not fun

i hope it gets a more aggressive alt kit, like crab tank and a bomb. i feel like hitting shots with reef lux is a lot easier because the arrows are closer so you don’t have to hit at the exact apex of the jump unlike tristringer

Thanks, Tri-"King"er. As an S2 Explosher main, being able to apply my arc shot knowledge to a weapon that can 1-shot is superfresh.

I don't know why, but whenever I play stringer, I tend to have a death grip on the trigger like it murdered my wife and children or something.

I been recommending your videos to people who wants to get better at the Tri-Stringer your videos are really helpful I been playing it and I feel like I’m getting slightly better I was able to land some one shots on other players and much assist kills as well. With more practice I’ll say I have finally made the Stringer one of my mains.

This video is extremely good at explaining the concept. I'll definitely try these tips out once I go play splatoon. Also if you are looking for video ideas, maybe make one on the ideal way to play tri stringer on different modes like turf war and ranked

I feel like it's worth pointing out, the stringer's aim doesn't physically go higher as you charge it, but rather it starts out appearing lower to convey that the uncharged shots won't travel as far charged ones. The same thing happens with chargers and splatlings as well, they just tend to have a smaller difference between their minimum and maximum range so it's not as noticeable. Additionally I noticed that for those weapons, there's always a less pronounced reticle showing their true max range regardless of charge, but with stringer this reticle is both harder to notice and more variable (as this one only shows the stringers true max range during the second charge and not the first)

Even though I one trick wiper I still find these vids useful and entertaining. Simply because I like gaining knowledge. And it’s also because the tri stringer tech is evolving almost exactly like I predicted. I’m just sad that wiper’s boundaries are seemingly almost at their limits. I’m just hoping for a couple consistency buffs and kill time buffs for the main weapon. And the ultra stamp fix.

As the (I believe it's spelled Dunning Kruger) effect states, the more you know a topic, the less confident you are until you truly master it. I needed this video because I always forget something about the stringer and its endlessly frustrating. It's a GOOD weapon, I just don't really get it yet.

Great video! Though I will say I don't think the reticle travels "up" to represent the shot traveling up, rather it moves up because it goes "out" to represent distance as the more you charge, the farther the shots go.

The tri-stringer charge slows down in air. So if one long jumps (long press B button) the charge slows down. I hope there is a way we can utilise that mechanic.
