"you dont know where he could be" close yourself in a window box and when you see the snail coming after wake up theres where you can capture it you dont need to worry on die because you re inmortal so just close yourself in that box and done you see later or early that snail

youre missing one crucial detail: the snail is granted superintelligence, *but not any knowledge,* and even the most intelligent being can lose a game if it doesn't know its rules right as the challenge starts, the snail is clueless about pretty much everything in the world. the only thing it knows is where you are, as well as the info of its surroundings that its limited snail senses can percieve. everything else, itll have to figure it out on its own. the moment the snail learns to communicate with humans youre pretty much done for, as itll be able to acquire massive amounts of knowledge very quickly, but until then you have a massive advantage. learning to communicate with humans from the absolute ground up is a monumental task, no matter how smart you are. it certainly doesnt help that snails are both deaf and near blind. you have a ton of time to gather more resources (easily done by selling your soul (and immortal body) to the us government) and find the snail before its too late. its all in the early game, a race to see if you can catch the snail before it overpowers you, and every second you waste it learns something new

Okay now it's getting interesting! I like that you made the distinction between intelligence and knowledge. I didn’t really consider that, but I now see what you mean. I assumed that the snail would already have both but if it only has superintelligence, then it’s a whole different story as you described. Yes, I agree the snail would be at a huge disadvantage at first since it’ll take some time to learn how to communicate to people. My money is still on the snail for the long game. Sorry for the late reply I just saw this now!

Your idea of immortality is flawed. Immortality does not mean that you cant be killed, it means that you wont die naturally. Otherwise the snail would not be able to kill you as you are also immortal. People really need to learn what certain words actually mean. This is especially the case with words like "innocent" or "fascist". Killing every snail that you see would totally be worth it.
