You definitely should be able to lock into a fs 5050 when you are rolling parallel to the obstacle. If not, practice that. Being able to Do an Ollie "forward" Is key imo. Also it's much harder to Ollie onto a curb than ollieing into a 5050 on a curb, because you are more likely to screw up the timing and get stuck with your back truck on the edge of the curb, which most likely makes you go full Superman without your board. I definitely would recommend practicing ollieing into the 5050 while standing still in front of the curb to get a feel for it. Think: ollie in front of you, front foot first. If you are able to do that, you also can do it rolling. Sidenote: at a certain curb-hight it gets easier to do it rolling in comparison to standing still, at least for me.

For those of u who r having trouble riding off the end of the obstacle, try riding off the SIDE of the obstacle like in 4:16 . I tried this and it was intimidating at first but now it doesn't feel much different than doing a kickturn on flat.

Jumping on the board already in 5050 on the ledge helped me a lot with this one. I can now get into them and out of them (although, for some reason doing a 180 out is easier for me), but I am working on doing them at a higher speed now.

Been trying to boardslide and its been pretty hard to learn my balance on a rail. Is 50-50s on ledges easier cause I might learn that first
@S7_jrnl3 жыл бұрын
In terms of balance, I would say it’s easier but it also takes a lot more technique imo because with a board slide you just turn 90 and get your front trucks over but for a 5050 you have to lock into it but it just takes a little practice and you’ll get both 👍
@tricklinerduckplayer59253 жыл бұрын

@seanbrownskating3 жыл бұрын
Do whatever works best for ya! And I would say something that is a comfortable ollie height. Anything too small is easy to mess up how you land on it.
