Somebody said each generation gets softer and softer. If you look back, the older generations had it tougher (dudes were drafted into wars, more manual labor, etc) the farther you go back the tougher life was which made people tougher. Now everything is getting easier and easier, people are getting lazier and lazier thus the estrogen levels are going up as a result. Now people are so sensitive you have to be extremely careful on what you say to avoid getting canceled. You can't even joke anymore. They are trying to cancel comedians! Crazy!

Sure, the direct cause is from hitting the ground, distracted driving, excessive speed, road debris, etc...but the proximate cause (aka the underlying cause) is the rider choosing to engage in an inherently risky activity. Sure, you can wear leathers, airbags, take traffic training, do trackdays, and so on, but motorcycles are dangerous. All driving is dangerous but riding takes that risk and increased it by a factor of 30.

Push dangerous useless ninja sport bikes and heavy cruiser motorcycles to beginners, expect to turn a lot of people off to motorcycles when they have a bad experience from it and expect blow back when they get hurt. Your best bet when starting with motorcycles, is master a bicycle first, then a moped, then get yourself a used 125cc or 250cc motorcycle that needs some work on it so you are forced to learn some basic maintenance skills. You'll make that bike your own and never want to part with it, even when you get bigger bikes later on. I see motorcycle channels pushing 750, 1100, 1300cc cruiser or sports bikes to people as a great first bike and I'm like good god no. A bike that heavy or fast has to be the absolute worst bike to start on. Start off with a classic Honda Rebel 250. There's a reason the MSF course used it forever. It's a blast to drive, low seat height, easy to work on, and very forgiving. Anything over 500cc is money you're spending just to have acceleration you don't need on tap. You're burning extra gas and losing gas mileage. 450cc or 500cc is the about the perfect sweet spot between 250cc which is light and flicable, and 750cc which is more than enough to be interstatable. And when you buy a motorcycle, get something you can carry cargo on. A motorcycle like a sport bike that can not carry cargo is a useless piece of SHT toy that will only collect you speeding tickets. I mean, you have to eat right, which means you need to bring groceries home on almost ever trip. Unless you're going to be a poser who still defers to driving a car on the side, you're going to need someway to carry all those groceries on your motorcycle. I add a pickup truck bed over the back seat and cargo rack where I can park a huge duffle bag to bring all my groceries home on all my bikes. And I fill it up every time.

I generally agree, but with exception to the high vis vest airbags they all look quite good i would say especially once from revit or alot of the inmotion once. I got the furygan evolution+ and im quite happy. Tbh even looking good wnd being sage doesn't cost the world anymore nowdays. My furyfan clint evo jacket just looke like w keather jacket and my helmet is w hjc v10 with ece 22.06. some of the better Kevlar jeans with protector's in it and its done. Personally i added some back reflector stickers to the helmet because im in all black and i do wanna be seen at night. Its not about looking good for others but for me, just like Normal clothing i want them to both functional and good looking, i don't care what other think. All is ce level 2 and im still looking good and its comfortable and casual enough to go to a short work meeting without having to chnage everything.

I was lucky enough to come into biking in the early 80s bikers were different it was a counter culture in decline but as time passed the bikers changed to become what I would call all the gear but no idea. Im 24 still using an electric kick scooter that goes 70kmh (43mph freedom units) due to financial reasons and it takes a while to get a license here in ireland. Considering most of these videos are made in a city doing less than 40MPH, wind isn't a factor on a naked mike. Try 70-80MPH for a couple hours. Naked bikes suck for that and it's not a matter of "soft".

Apparently, that's what a person was asking for as soon as they bought the naked. Don't ask for rain and then not expect a hurricane. If you go 40 mph, it's soon to be a reckoning when you go 80 mph on the highway. Toughin up, man up and take that wind as though it was light weight....you're on a naked bike, expect to feel naked...lol...I had a M1000R Competition with a WRS touring screen and it felt good being on the highway and I didn't have any turbulence on my helmet or shoulders. So, no excuses with today's technology of products..

As stated in many videos I hate doing long stints on the highway, so boring. However, I have done some long trips on the highway on a naked bike and the wind is not a big deal to me at all. However, you can always put a large shield on a naked bike to help mitigate the wind if ti bothers you. I just don't understand why riders whine about the wind. Bikes with fairings don't change much to me, you get about the same wind blast. However, that is one reason I love riding a motorcycle is feeling the wind. lol
