Well, there are so many reasons why people don’t chase . A lot of people tend to say “if a person really wants you they are going to come after you” which isn’t always the case some people are very prideful and put their pride before anything. (Which is dangerous) they would rather die inside seeing you with someone else rather than come to you and try to make it work to “prove their point” or “stand on business” . If you notice some of the most miserable people in life are the ones filled with pride because they have so much regret because they couldn’t put their ego down and do what’s right . I’m not saying to beg like a dog or anything like that but there is a time for everything. Know when to fight and know when to surrender.

Lesson learned for sure. I didn't match his energy I was to emotional. All my life I'm used to being chased. I let go of the order for 1 guy when in reality I should have turnt it up. I let go of all relationship paradigms and fell flat on my face Another thing with letting go is allowing the truth to be felt. If he dosnt want you you have to let go of the idea of it ever happening. Feeling that pain allows it to fade. I didn't "chase" or initiate cause I felt insecure. Just the opposite.

I found that not being wanted also has its positives, it makes you not expect anything from anyone and shift focus only to yourself. So not being chased has its advantages. Expecting less means less disappointments, better emotional resilience and humbleness. In the end the objective is to reduce your own ego without needing or seeking external validation.

Coming from a woman, just to clarify it for you: sometimes I am interested in a man but comfortable with exchanging messages only for a longer while than men have patience for. I am not talking years, but 2-3 months. In the meantime, I am fine with them writing to someone else, but as a woman I do not feel safe to go out with sbd I do not know even if we are talking about coffee. I openly say I need time to relax into it. Men always think they are gonna make me relax into it on their timeline. They agree to it but have low patience level. That's a red flag to me. That said, a LOT of times women cannot say it will take some time before meeting up for coffee due to social conditioning. We are EXPECTED to be nice and say yes. It is a burden, much heavier than you might think.

Fuck how we feel sometimes, it's not always the right thing or the best thing. You can run back if you want to, but it takes your time, energy, well being. It's draining. At some point there's a moment of recognizing you love them, but that doesn't change that they are bad for you. So you got to decide which one you care about more. Comfortability to your feelings, making yourself temporarily get your "fix" or taking the harder road of letting it go. But later down the line not have to suffer as much and possibly find someone better for you.

So even if they somehow gave it a chance, one would always have to be grovelling for their attention.. and then it would still end up feeling just as painful as it would, not having them.
