Bought a band hook earlier this week from Serious Steel. Immediately returned it and bought one of these once I saw this video. This product looks amazing!!!!

Namaskar, I have a query. Why can't we just put the bands across the bar, either inside or outside? Once the exercise begins and the bands stretch, they will not slip or move. Before you launched the Nexus Pro Bar, you did videos where you exercised with a simple bar only. So, how do these hooks add value to the exercises? God bless. Regards

The answer is simple: the value is perhaps non-zero for the exerciser, though not huge, but it allows whoever sells these things to make money, which the functional simple version you are describing doesn’t allow.

Great question! You can absolutely place your band around a simple bar like we've shown in many of our videos. There are definitely benefits to using a bar like the Nexus Pro Bar though too. For example, your band will not move out of place even when you allow slack in it or switch positions in between sets. It will also position your band at the optimal length since it's specifically designed for bands, allowing you to get more resistance at the bottom of your reps. In addition, it allows you to optimize the strength curve of every exercise by adding both free weights and bands.

There's one other thing you didn't mention. These band collars won't get hung up on the rack, like under the J-Hooks or whatever. I have the Kabuki band attachment which i was having issues with because it kept get h u ng up on the rack! I did not have the ability to change weights, because i had to use the band hook at the end of barbell, then readjust band tension if I added or took away weights. This is truly a great product.

I bought those purple ,green ,red and yellow bands that looked the same as the onces you use..they all broke within a year..not sure if the heat caused issues or they were using a crappy compound..they were actually great before they broke..after a while they degraded entirely to where they could be broken appart like a a slice of cheese..i replaced them with tube bands that are holding up great..Bands definitely are a great addition to any home gym imo..

I know I'm old fashioned, but I still use standard plates. Wish this came for standard plates. I suppose I could try an Olympic sleeve adapter, but then I'd also need to buy a couple of Olympic weights or more.

Since the rotation on this goes away when under load, I'm guessing it wouldn't work all that great on an axel style bar..🤔??

We haven't specifically tested them on an axel style bar, but I don't think it would be too noticeable in exercises with a short range of motion. You may notice it more in exercises with a larger range of motion.

I got it. Believe me this thing is worth every penny. I have the Harambe system and they want to charge 299 for their curl bar. I bought this plus an ez curl bar and saved myself 160 bucks.
