Video very well put together, it was a very enjoyable 22 min journey :D There is something about this car, it looks amazing! I'm thinking about my first sport car and this is a very interesting option.. The BMW M140i with its B58 costs 10.000 € more than this, 35.000 € vs 25.000 € for the R.S. and used ofcourse but about the same 100.000 km.. but there is something about this car that tickles my fancy! perhaps it's the looks or perhaps that I don't think I would ever see another one in Finland. @@Zaegen Thanks for checking it out dude! Well you're right about the rarity of these, you won't see many about which does turn a lot of heads... The 140 is a great car, REALLY fast especially when tuned etc that b58 engine is just 👌 but it's very soft... Feels a lot more compromised than the megane, so it all depends what you're after from a car because if you like DRIVING then the megane is the obvious choice, but if you want something super quick and comfortable the 140 will be the better option 👊

I have to say your videos helped me a lot to decide on buy this car, even Knowing that I would probably buy it, you have gived me the final push, In my case I want to buy the Megane MK4 With the facelift, I think Renault just reach the perfection with the restyling model (But I still love your model!) , I love the new back lights, I had in the past a Megane Scenic of 150HP and, a fucking Scenic (the sport one, it was short) was fun as hell, they got one part of my heart with this car. I live in Netherlands and I’m so tired to see Golfs, Audis, BMWs, I just don’t want to be one more in the road, I want to be the One, that is why I want a Megane. I hope this year or the next one I can got mine, now I’m saving money 🔥🔥 Keep going, your videos are truly specials (I’m from Spain btw, if there is any mistake with my English, apologies for that ). :)

I own a megane 4 rs for 4 years now and I have to admit I'm still not 100% used to the rear wheel steering, u bet it could be disabled without fucking up the handling of the car? I drove the megane 3 rs for quite a bit too and it feels so much more reliable or maybe i just have to grow some balls... But im never gonna get used to a fwd car that feels like its oversteering sometimes it gives me that little heart attack everytime because I dont really expect it

I have a cupra formentor vz2 310 2021 model, so golf R engine, now it's a really good car, but it's too competent, does everything easy, and it means you get bored easily, that's why I have decided to trade it in, and I have reserved a megane rs 300 edc 21 plate. Can't wait to switch.

I would be intrigued to see how much 'softer' the GT is because i wouldn't say the trophy is too stiff for everyday family use, but its definitely on the stiffer side... Obviously with any sport model you have to be prepared to sacrifice some comfort for performance, so it all depends on how much of that you're willing to trade. If you're thinking about it mate, do it soon, these are going to become harder and harder to get hold of no they aren't being made anymore so you'll have to be on the hunt for a clean one!

i30N Fastback owner here (2019). The Megane Trophy was on my shortlist when I was car shopping a year ago. Like 1st choice tbh. Ultimately went with the i30N as I found a cracking deal with only 6K miles and the megs were just that bit out of budget everywhere I looked. I’m on about 10k miles now a year later. But today I’ve seen a local Meg Trophy (auto) with 22+K miles and I’d only need to chuck a few hundred toward it as part ex. It’s tugging me in all sorts of directions! 😩

Just bought a 6spd Manual 2019 Trophy in Arctic White last week. I like my Jerez wheels in the OG diamond cut TBF. I think they actually suit the car nicely in White. But I agree your red version suits all black better. Anyway I traded in my 8spd auto M240i for it and ppl have said Im crazy!...No regrets so far though. Straight line speed doesnt compare with the beemer obviously. But the way this car handles and the involvement u feel when driving fast is 10x better and thats what matters to me more than just 0 to 60 times. The Trophy is the far superior 'Drivers Car' imo. Only minor flaw for me is its slightly notchy from 3rd to 4th but thats nitpicking really. Not sure if I will mod mine except for a bit more volume i guess. Im looking into getting the K-TEC GPF cat back race exhaust system with no silencers. I know ill lose my valve verses the supersport system that uses it but I can deal with that. Tbf I will keep the GPF and cat so I wont be crazy loud imo. The M240i I had before had a very loud non gpf Remus cat back that was even louder than the ktec race system. Hence why Im trying to regain some of the soundtrack the bmw gave me. Make sense mate?

Absolutely mate. Couldn't have said it better... If you're buying a renault to win drag races, you're in the wrong car... And i'm running the K-tec supersport cat back with the gt performance GPF and its crazy loud... Will be putting a resonator or 200 cell cat in the middle very soon to quieten it down a bit without sacrificing performance. The more you drive the Megane the more you'll love, and you're coming from a German car so your standards are high. Keep me posted on mods mate! Don't forget to subscribe 🙏

Do u think keeping the OG CAT with race cat back system will be too loud? Surely a 200 cell would make it even louder? Dont want it to be too raspy either. It wont be remapped so as long as I dont 'lose' power Im all good as long as the volume is there. For reference my stock exhaust Trophy is loads quiter than than my m240 and I was ok with the volume that car had

@SPORT300-UK That all sounds promising. Ill add most of that to my future mod ideas cheers. My immediate purchases will be :- Goodyear Eagle F1 supersport tyres, Ktec induction kit and ktec grey inlet hose, Forge blow off valve, Ktec stage 1 remap and the Cobra Venom non resonated, straight piped, no back box, cat back system from K-TEC. It has the highest DB rating and also sounds good on the promo video. It still retains the GPF and cat as im not keen on the sound the decat/GPF makes. That should start me off pretty well I reckon!

Why would you want a 5 cylinder in a renault out of curiosity? They've never used those sort of engines. Renaults formula from the beginning was to keep things light, for maximum handling and traction, they've never been about straight line speed.

My trophy is only 340 with turbo back exhaust, intake and intercooler (and a map obviously) Don't worry too much about the figures, you wait till you feel how it comes on song after a tune!... Theres a lad on one of the Facebook groups thats got an aftermarket exhaust for his GT... Have a look at GTperformance exhausts, their store on eBay... I believe they have some systems on there for the GT

I want one but I'm hesitant as there's so many problems with Renault's in general that I read about on Facebook groups. I don't want to end up with issues that would be frustrating and expensive to fix on an ongoing basis

You have to remember, on those groups, thats what people use them for. Issues and problems that sometimes someone can shed some light on through past experience. People don't come on those groups and be like 'heres my Megane nothing is wrong with it' 😂 I've had mine over a year and a half, with various mods as you may have seen, driven every day and I haven't had a single BIG issue and its had one warranty job. All the guys that have had issues have all neen sorted under renault warranty too, haven't seen a single case of work refusal on faults. Hope this changes your mind because they are unbelievable cars!

Nice mate! Glad you're enjoying it! They aren't very common I can confirm, which is a positive AND negative... But I've only seen 5/6 in the 3 off years I've had it! Their are a couple of reasons why I think these aren't very common but the big push for the nurburgring lap record certainly didn't help put eyes on the car!

I like the exclusivity of it all. When this one came up for sale I couldn't believe my luck. Took her for service and got everything tightened up and is running even better. Are there any performance mods you would recommend. I'm about to get some new tyres and taking the wheels in to get painted black and where the red pinstripes are will change to the yellow on the rs badge.

It all depends what you're after from the car mate, and the mk4 is a much better daily and still very capable around tracks and b roads etc I really like the mk3 and driven a few, but if budget is an issue and you aren't looking to drop 26ish grand on a car, getting a mk3 for 12ish would definitely be the move

For the money absolutely mate, I love the MK3 as a platform, especially around the 12/14k mark, but the MK4 is majorly slept on. I actually know someone who now has a 265 after a MK4 trophy and he said the MK4 is faster everywhere, and a much nicer daily, so I think that's where the money goes. If we're talking cash purchase, I'd have an F80 M3 all day 😂

I had the megane rs275 and i hate to say this as i love the Meganes but it was so slow. The torque was just rubbish. But will say for a front wheel drive the handling was pretty good.
