My mom at the age of 89 started to show some liver symptoms and so we took her to a doctor. The doctor asked for her medical records but there were none because she had not seen a doctor for any medical reason in all her years. Two things I attribute her good health to. She consistently took Cod Liver Oil and her faith in Christ.

I started taking cod liver oil at the age of 28 on the recommendation of my osteopath. My doctor had diagnosed me with osteoarthritis of both hips, plus my hand knuckles were swollen and it was stopping me gripping. Drs prognosis was that I would have replacement hips by age 50. I am now approaching 73 with the same hips, no pain and knuckles back to normal. One of the main elements of my recovery was cod liver oil, which I have religiously taken daily. People say I look in my 50’s including my current doctor! A truly amazing supplement that has all the benefits DrBerg speaks of.

Take it in softgel form every day, sometimes twice. And give it to my elderly mother who has memory loss. I no longer buy any other fish oil... We just eat more fish. Can't tell if it's making a difference in either of us, but I feel better knowing I'm getting all of these nutrients in a natural form.

I started taking CLO after I was diagnosed with Salivary Gland Cancer & came across Dr. Weston A. Price’s work. FYI…make sure the Vitamin A & D is still present in the cod liver oil you buy (some don’t have it). Also, it’s a natural blood thinner, so keep that in mind.

Many years ago my young child spilled hot water an herself! Naturally a little of her skin was burned! My husband ran to th😢drugstore and bought an ointment for burns. I don’t remember the name but it was a European brand! It was made of 100% cod liver oil! Within 24 hours of applying it, the superficial burns had healed completely! No blisters or pain! Now I’ve been looking for that ointment the brand/name of which I can’t remember!😅

PFAS 😢. Great video 👍🏻 Cod liver in its own oil is awesome! However, there is one, in my opinion very disturbing recent scientific paper from the Dutch RIVM. They investigated PFAS in food products and tap water in the Netherlands. PFAS is found really everywhere inn comparable concentrations, but by far the highest amount was found in cod liver and cod liver oil. 5000% or 50x more than in other sources.

Should we be worried about whether the Cod Liver oil has been purified from impurities like mercury? How can we - the consumer - tell? Will companies list on their products that it has been tested to a certain standard?

Who knows what is special about cod liver oil i.e. cod fish? What if to take anchovy liver oil? I took cod liver oil (from iherb, Nowfoods brand) for some time. If only I consume 2 big capsules (not one) per day, I do feel the difference, especially clearer mind, instead of brain fog I have due to sibo, sifo, leaky gut, leaky brain with insuline resistance and depression as the final result. Now I am taking wild caught anchovy liver oil (claims to be wild anchovy from cold waters, ocean) for a month. It is a small fish that does not accumulate heavy metals etc due to short life span. Taking 2 big capsules with 60% omega-3 in it, totalling to 1320mg omega-3 in 2 capsules. I feel the difference too. Clearer mind, less inflammation in my body, less depression and less anxiety, almost no binge eating/overeating due to less stress/anxiety, plus I am on carnivore for couple of months. Anchovy liver oil producer/seller does not say anything about VITAMIN A, D in ingredient list. I wonder if anchovy liver does not have them (but I think any animal/fish liver should have them). So there is something special in cod fish i.e. cod fish oil?
