This channel and content is diametrically opposite to the bro science and ego lifting image. Highly underrated in my opinion

Could you make a video of your favorite variations for the main lifts that could be done in any commercial gym. I do not own any specialty equipment. Also, I am the guy you were talking about who can go into the gym and do the same groupings of exercises for a particular day in my program and not get mentally burned out. I enjoy repetition. I'm weird like that, but I do agree that physically it can lead to injuries and pain so that would be my main motivator to switch in/switch out movements. Thanks again for sharing your knowledge!

Pain is just weakness leaving the body. No, I'm pretty sure that's my body's way of telling me to stop doing something. I was feeling pretty achy today after my workout, and spent my drive home brainstorming ideas to rework my exercise selection. Then this video was posted, very convenient. I'm kind of at a loss on a replacement for close grip bench, I've been on coffin press as an alternate for the last few weeks, but don't think it's time to go back to the barbell yet. I've got some research to do this weekend.

Spot on Matt, great advice! I've been rotating exercises weekly for a while now and have experienced much less joint pain and greater hypertrophy. It doesn't seem to be common knowledge within the fitness industry which is a shame.

How often should I rotate exercises ? What do you think about specialization in one exercise for some period of time and just rotate accessiories ?

my 12 week rotation i have always wondered about the likes of john haack, ray williams, taylor atwood - all having long careers but always focusing on the big 3 with little variation from a westside perspective this rotation keeps me from getting burnt out and keeps training in small blocks to keep focused first 8 weeks are always as raw as possible or my weakest movement to see if had carry over the max week is usuaslly always an amrap as i only max once a year for 1 rep week 1-4 raw high bar no belt or sleeves pinky on the ring bench (weakest grip) - flat back no arch heels on the floor paused conventional deadlift beltless week 5-8 paused high bar belt and sleeves competition bench index on the ring - arched - elevated heel conv deadlift with belt 3 squat 2 heavy 1 light 3 bench 1 heavy 1 medium 1 light 2 deadlift 1 heavy 1 light week 9-14 low bar belt and sleeves - strongest variation competition bench sumo deadlift week 15 MAX 2 squat sessions 1 heavy & 1 technique (deadlift day) 3 bench 2 heavy 1 light 1 deadlift

This is great and I agree. However most commercial gyms and home gym owners can't afford bands, chains, speciality bars and pulley attachments, let alone a pulley. Would a lesser evil be only training a specific movement once per week every week rather than more than once a week every week? With my equipment for example I can do towel pull ups, normal pull ups, snatch grip rows and normal pendlay rows. That's back. No chains or bands or bars. Thoughts?

Hey Matt have you ever considered doing a video on PEDs, I ask because a lot of your content is education based and probably directed towards learners and beginners and I’ve seen a lot of beginners starting to hop on cycles and that can’t be good

Just out of interest this is pretty muxh of what i do (eg pull ups very wide normal close and the same supernated) but why would you change it weekly and not every block i doubt the problem will come after like 4 weeks I agree om the conjugate stuff i sont do it cause im really a beginner and found other training works better what i do though is build the training like cws and have a period where i diont do any main lifts and as you say rotate exercises so same principle basically
