Sorry for the late reply guys, have been wrapped up at work, unfortunately. The service was good, very different to the church I had been brought up in, but it felt more real and more what I'd imagined real christianity would be. Unfortunately, the orthodox church in my town only has a divine liturgy once a month. The father there also serves London and a couple of other places, so it was only a small service with only a few people in a small building. I felt a little out of place at times. But it was still a great eye opener. I will be attending a couple of other Orthodox churches in neighbouring towns and cities so I can get to talk to more people and attend more events that will grow my knowledge. I joined the local what's app group and are some very helpful people on there too. It was just the start of the journey, but overall, it was a great start and has sparked my interest even further. Of course, I'm still having my daily battles and vices trying to hold me back, but I'll get there :) I'm still watching every video Father Moses puts out!

Hi father, I am 32 and single. Studying an MBA and working full time in the Defense industry. I am always tough on myself and often fall into lust and video game to unwind and escape. I dated during those past 3-4 years but never got into something serious. These past 2 years, my single status is adding pressure on me. I shame myself for playing video games with little control at my age when I should be more focused on building a family. My parents are worried too. Pray for me and am open for advice.

You think Jesus would work for the "defense" industry....

Hey Jay, I would definitely recommend regular church attendance and going to community groups with your church. You're working on money with the job and MBA, but you could be working on walking with God and his people. Make time outside of Sunday to be in person and meaningfully there with God and his people. It is difficult, and you'll be challenged, but it's very important. I recommend "The Sacred Us" by Pastor Justin Kendrick, very important in how I've been viewing relationships and life with God. TL:DR It's one thing to research being a man, and try to be with God, but it's another to do it among the people of God. Get out there.

@@KennethTinelli Thanks Kenneth. I will give that book a go and keep that in mind. After all faith without action is pointless.

Sell the video game console and games, give the money to charity. Replace it with prayer and fasting.

Men who turn to video games are craving adventure in their real lives. I have close buddies who still play video games and I feel like it’s a huge waste of time. Find adventure in your life. Go for hikes. Pick up a new thing to learn. Get outside of your comfort zone. Visit churches in your area and let the Lord lead you into all truth. Enjoy the process and trust Him to lead you. Proverbs 16:9 “A man’s heart plans his way, but the Lord directs his steps.”

Thank you for your word father Moses. I am currently in an evangelical church and looking into orthodoxy. Many people have told me I need to change and be more emotional, outgoing, and dance during worship, but that just doesn’t match with who I am. Your words have helped me a lot! God Bless!

Yeah, that’s super effeminate stuff. Come home to Orthodoxy.

I love these kinds of videos, about masculinity and manhood. Thank you Father, please keep them up!

Forgive me…but adulthood begins way before the 20s. Manhood begins in your teens. We shouldn’t hold ourselves to secular standards, which are heavily influenced by feminist philosophy, to deny responsibility by denying the biological reality of what they are…young men and young women. I know this video this is tailored towards people in their 20s, but my autism is kicking hard.

I was lucky to have a spiritual father from my Freshman year until I Graduated. Sadly, he passed away while I was in college

This person has so many problems with his presentation that even autistic people can realize the socially problematic views of this video.

Spiritual Father = Mentor in Faith. People are tripping up over the verbiage. I agree that younger men need to look to the older generation for guidance in faith, and am currently seeking that with people in my church.

Im a very loving man. And that comes with a lot of forgiveness, understanding, wisdom, tolerance and mercy. This was all before I got to know the Bible. By all means, I’m not anything close to god or Jesus, but this is who I am. Nobody understands me at all or why I do the things that I do. Constantly misunderstood, judged, all these crap that I don’t want to dwindle in. I just started reading the Bible a week ago. I don’t go to church or anything, just decided to read it because I felt really alone in this world. Before I read the Bible, I search for one person who was like me, who could understand me and my ways. No one came close, not even my family. For a long time I thought maybe I was the problem, that maybe loving others as I loved myself was delusional because I live amongst people who don’t love or care about anyone but themselves (including my family) or they lack the vulnerability to be love. No one had the love that I had, to love others without condition and to love them because they are still beautiful children of god despite all of their shortcomings. I dislike how everyone is so quick to judge…, loveless and prideful in their self righteousness. How I can just see in their eyes that they deem themselves better than someone else and look down upon. I’ve never been a man who thought I was better than anyone, whether rich or poor, sinful or righteous. All I knew was love in all of its meaning that was gifted to me since birth. and so, I felt really alone by the ways of my heart. So I picked up the Bible and began to read. There I found, the one person who I searched for all my life, who understood me as if he lived in my shoes, it was Jesus. The love that he had for all of man kind, to die by the cross for our sins. He loved others as I did with my heart, he hurt how I hurt when they didn’t understand, he loved the outcast and the different as I did because they are still children of god and every single one is special to me and him. But yet his love is greater than anyone I’ve ever known. He was the one person I longed searched for, I just didn’t know it wouldn’t be a living person, but a holy loving god.

Hi, Father Moses, my name is Malcolm White, and I just wanted to say that I am such a big fan of your KZbin educational channel. The contents that you post about are so amazingly spot-on, and also, the value that you add to your video topics are absolutely incredible, and insightful, as well. Please keep continuing to do this brilliantly motivational channel up, and running, my good friend 💯👍💯👍💯!!! PS: Do you think that you can please do a video topic, and analysis, about why men should have street smarts in their own lives? If you don't mind?

I'd hate this to come off as boasting, I'm really not I always find myself talking to the older folks at places, and somehow, I always end up engaging them as an equal or in a position were I teach them. But I still know that something inside yearns for a physical father figure in my life, but it seems God has made me a father figure for others... I'd be lying if I didn't say this longing for a physical person to be a father figure doesn't make me feel guilty Such is life in babylon.
