I knew it! I got this check a few weeks ago and it was 100% suspicious. I still have it and never cashed it in. The address the envelope had was different than the check. None of the check security marks worked as stated on the check (watermarks, void when copied, etc.). The contact person was in a rush to get the check cashed and sent. Which will give a fraud strike on your bank, you'll be reported to Chex systems by your bank and you won't be able to have any account for 7 yrs, no negotiation to that either. Beware of these scammers, including work at home for any reason, they do the same thing! The check May clear, but bounce back after 2 days and the bank will charge you for the amount, so you lose triple time.
