It's not about whether or not it is quicker or anything else. It's about how it makes you feel. Sum it up, every vehicle is better with stick shift!

Yes a manual does lead to fun. Especially in a sports car. 😊

That statement would be correct if we were still living in the '80's. Since we're not living in the '80's anymore for quite a few decades the automatic transmissions outperform the manual in every way. And that sorry excuse of it being more involving is just a fantasy which all those wannabe racecar drivers would like you to believe. And that's basically the focus group that still prefers a manual over an automatic, people stuck in the '80's and wannabe racecar drivers.

I'm 26, trying to teach my friends. Most of them are convinced they're gonna instantly blow up my car even though I didn't know what I was doing when I started either. The few that do get it way quicker then I ever did, mostly because I teach it better then my parents ever did. Not that my parents don't know what they're doing, I just remember what it was like having no idea what was going on.

I love how Toyota’s GR line still includes manual transmissions for all its cars. I think they should still be an option in their performance packages for any manufacture. It’s not always about 0-60 times.
@XenoRacing
@XenoRacing 11 ай бұрын
Most buyers want an automatic, hence why the manuals have become some uncommon. The market dictates it. There are only around 3 dozen or so models sold with manual in US, and slightly more in Canada.

@@XenoRacing Yeah ... Stupid people that can't drive seem to have all the money. That's why H-patterns are being phased out. Fixed it for you.
@wild_lee_coyote
@wild_lee_coyote 11 ай бұрын
@@XenoRacing the problem also is that manufactures think that people only want a manual as a cheaper alternative to an automatic. So only the base model will have a manual option, but dealers always try and upsell to higher trims, or they want the performance packages that only offer automatics. And that’s even if the dealers get a manual for their innovatory. It becomes a self fulfilling idea that no one wants automatics, when in reality is that the cars they want manuals in never offer them. Like I would love the Subaru Impreza RS to have an optional manual. But they don’t.

Hey Sarah, i’m glad you like the manual. I was impressed with all the work Toyota did to get that manual right. and couldn’t agree more about the steering wheel the wheel is a big part of the character of the car, but in this case just isn’t right, I would definitely go aftermarket and I don’t really like doing that but I’ve seen some really nice wheels that definitely improve the look of the interior. And you nailed it again absolutely the 86 for half the money thereabouts , I want a supra But the 86 is definitely the smarter thing to do we shall see have a great one🐧🐧🐧👍

So, the manual Supra is even more fun than the automatic. In other shocking news, dogs bark, it's hot in July and it rained again in New England 😁 I guess you'd need to go to Colorado to really test out that uphill hairpin turn function - I found plenty of them when I took a road trip there last year. I really like the color of this one, and it sounds great, too. Great review, and looking forward to more videos on the other Supra along with the V-8 Celica!
