@chinaridernc43032 жыл бұрын
Thanks buddy! Honestly it depends.. Hawk DLX is a great bike for someone that is not comfortable working with a carb, also having the USD Forks and digital dash stock, it is a great option. Also, the HAWK (carbed) is also a great bike, but the TBR7-D is a tad above the carbed hawk in my opinion. If I could go back and choose one (at the moment I don’t have any bikes, sold them while moving but looking to purchase another soon!) I would go with another DLX personally. But you can most definitely replace the carb and dial it in and have a FANTASTIC bike with the carbed hawk and TBR7.

I have bought Chinese bikes in the past and there are some things to point out. - Japanese bikes cost more but they also sell for more. If you buy a used Japanese bike it will most likely keep its value as long as the condition is around where you started. A new Chinese bikes will drop value immediately and that money you will never get back. Now whats not a bad thing is if your picking up a used Chinese bike as you will get the lower cost, but just keep in mind you could get something that's better quality and not loose money on it if your planning on selling it a few years down the road. - Keep in mind your on your own. Many Chinese bikes are clones of Japanese bikes. But you have to do the research yourself to find what parts fit.

I'm going to buy a Bashan Brozz 250 from a scooter dealership here in Florida . It will be assembled and ready to ride off the lot with tax , tag and title for an extra $500.00 . I know how to do it all myself , but they offer a two year warranty and discounted service afterward . I can't pass that up ! I think it'll be a great bike to add to the stable , and will look good next to my 2015 Honda CRF250L . You got a new sub too by the way . 🤘😉

I have a tbr7 and a magician also, I love both bikes. My chain was a little tight on the magician after I put on the 17 tooth sprocket but it loosened up after riding. My tbr7 chain was WAY too tight, I'm only riding on nice level streets for now and the chain does not seem to be getting any looser. I can not change the sprocket and it wouldn't be safe to go off road. Some vlogger said that the wrong chain was on the tbr7, I ordered a new tbr7 chain, I hope it isn't the same as the one already on the bike, the one I ordered is 126 links, I'll count them when it arrives. One question I have is : I ordered a mikuni carb for the tbr7, I am assuming that the main jet is already bigger than the one in the tbr7. Do you know what jet comes in the mikuni carb ? ? ? ?
@chinaridernc43033 жыл бұрын
The Mikuni clone we all order comes with a 100 main 40 pilot. That chain should stretch honestly! But I recommend replacing it. With 17/46 sprockets on my TBR7 (428 pitch) I ordered a 130 link standard (non o ring chain). I can’t remember if I had any links left.. I’m sorry buddy!!
@thetruther62693 жыл бұрын
@@chinaridernc4303 Thanks, I'll be putting the Mikuni on as is, I am concerned about overheating, so I understand the stock carb has an 85 main jet , it will be an upgrade without over doing it. Also I want to say alot of people say the kick start isn't any good on the TBR7 mine works well.
@chinaridernc43033 жыл бұрын
Kickstart works best when surrounding parts are dialed in. Definitely great to wean out the lean lol!!!
@jasonjulian14 жыл бұрын
Yep. You need to have realistic expectations about what a $1200-$1400 motorcycle gets you. There are concessions to be made. If you aren't prepared to fix the factory shortcomings, tinker and tune, and be ready to repair or replace until you've gone through everything, then you shouldn't buy one. Many people who can't afford a used Japanese machine or a new one, they often go to China bikes. Sadly these are also people who match the description above.

CHANGE OIL RIGHT AWAY, the oil that comes in it is only shipping oil. Rotella T4 works great. I use 15w40. Locktite all bolts (blue works great), adjust valve lash (.003 intake .004 exhaust was great for me), marine grease your bearings, lube chain, check for loose connections, and you should be good!

They are excellent trail bikes, but they are not made for jumping etc.. if you treat the bike well they are amazing bikes that will surprise you with their durability! In the Facebook group Hawk 250 Enduro Owners Group you will see how many of us are happy with these bikes! But to be honest, a Japanese bike would hold up better on trails, but you can get 3-4 of these for the price of 1 Japanese bike! I’ve been trail riding a few times with my TBR7 and it has been fantastic. The hawk has better tires for off road
