I was delivered from depression after a 3 day water fast. On the third day of the fast I said spirit of depression come out of me in Jesus name and then I forced myself to cough. First cough and second cough was my breath, but the third cough was demonic breath and I cough out depression. I have never had it again. That was years ago, all glory to God in Jesus name! In 2019 I fasted for 3 Days Straight without any food or water.. i was just praying and worship and confessing all my sins and humble myself before God. Didn't ask for anything in particular. During fasting, try to not ask for anything.. just be humble and confess all your sins...if you find it hard to speak out loud.. just write on a paper all your thoughts and confession. At the end, pray over it and then burn those papers as a step of faith believing that In Jesus' name it's over. Read 1 John 1: 9-10. You are forgiven and You are no longer a slave to sins. Fasting healed me from a sexual addiction and delivered me from the Jezebel spirit. God revealed to me that I was operating under that spirit after feeling so condemned while I was in that lifestyle. It was as if I had no control over it and something was pushing me to commit these immoral acts. After I fasted, the desire went away and I am 4 months into my abstinence and I have zero desire to do anything. I currently work, can I fast for something that I want, like heath or anything really and the thing is, am I supposed to be praying the whole time? It's hard to work at the same time. Fasting is definitely amazing. I fasted and prayed fall of last year and I ended up getting 12 months of free rent. Amen. I fasted for 3days dry n God gave me a salary increment and gave me some instructions. In the vision, I found myself asking him"who're u? "Bt deep inside me, I felt I was speaking to the Holy spirit. Then he told me"I AM GOD ETERNAL" n i felt so good n fresh. I smiled the whole day. Up to today, i can still remember his voice. It feels so good to hear God call your name. I was struggling with secular music and reading novels bt all went when I fasted. I also received a gift of praying in Tongues. 🙏🙏🙏 Trust me, that fast wasn't easy coz I was working while on a dry fast n at work, I had no day offs bt God was faithful. I could feel my knees almost giving way bt I pushed on. Fasting is a sacrifice. He has now instructed me to do a Daniel fast n I am warming up for it. Am supper excited. Am here to encourage somebody that when you fast and focus on God, he won't leave u the same.

Worship song that made closer to God was “They that Wait” by Fred Hammond and “Praise Him in Advance” by Marvin Sapp. I listened to these 2 songs to keep my faith and patience in God and made me understand that we have to thank God for answered prayers even when we don’t see changes. I listened to these songs for months consistently praising and worshipping and I finally received the answers to my prayers and more than I could ever think of. Okkk thanks for seeking an advice on that,but the thing is easy mkwn,l also thought that l can't do it but by God's grace l did it every week fasting dry no water,food feeding on only prayers but my friend if you want to do it first feel it in your heart that you can do it after that pray to God to be with you through that fast and belive in your heart that if you are with He you can do it ,my dha with that advice am sure one to me you will do it Mathew 6 :16-18

It's not an easy journey to fast when u think u can do it all by urself. But when u ask for the strength to fast from God, the journey becomes easier. When I decided to fast, for the first two days it wasn't easy, the smell of food, images of my favourite foods and drinks on my minds eye wasn't an easy battle but I pressed on because what i was going through was enough shame and I didn't want it any longer. Glory be to God fasting has become easier and I feel lighter and at peace with my inner self. You can do it and it works. BE ENCOURAGED.

Just commenting on the thumbnail, sometime last year I had an encounter like this. I was asleep but I felt someone standing over me. I also saw myself laying down in a balled up position. I asked The Holy Spirit to lead me to what He wanted me to see.. And Now I'm here! Fasting has been something I've been wanting to try for a few weeks now as I deepen my relationship with God. I'm going to start today! I have to learn to take it easy though! I'm an All or Nothing type of guy and I'll be out here tryna Fast for 30 days with just bread and water without ever fasting before and feel like a complete failure who God can never love after I fail lol. What I'm trying to say is, Pray and ask The Spirit to lead you into what He wants you to fast! Don't jump out there trying to do something your body can't handle on your own without the guidance of The Holy Spirit! I'm not saying use excuses but Don't be so hard on yourself if you don't make at first. I had to learn that!
