Why You Should Know About Islam's Satanic Verses.

Islam is known for strictly believing that there is no God but Allah. In Islam, worshipping other Gods is considered ‘shirk’ meaning to believe in other deities other than Allah. According to Islamic jurisprudence, those who do should be ousted from the Muslim community and all their legal rights should be suspended until they renounce their polytheistic belief, that is to reject it.
In the Islamic world, there is a case to be made that Mohammad, the Prophet of Islam committed this sin. This incident is known as the Satanic Verses where the prophet Muhammad is recorded praising Meccan goddesses Al-Lat, Al-Uzza, and Al-Manat. How can the most strict monotheistic religion have its own Book recognise the existence of other gods? Doesn’t this totally disregard the core beliefs of Islam?
