As a gunlance main. The 3 most important things to know about the weapon is. 1. The wyvern stake charge or WSC is a mine you put on the monster that explodes when you shot at it. It literally doubles your shell damage output. Always use it. 2. There are 3 types of gunlance (4 if you count only melee gunlance): Long,(3~4) shells, used for charged shelling and the only full shelling type, meaning any form of attack up and crit skills are useless; Wide,(2~3) shells, used for poke & shell and a lot of wyvern fire; Normal,(5~6) shells, used for fullburst style, unloading all your clip for big damage but leaving you extremely open. 3. The skills every gunlance build need are artillery and capacity boost (which is basically the only damage skills you need for a Long build), the other good skills for gunlance is: evade extender (increase your hop distance, which is a lot for the gunlance); guard & guard up ( because shield ); slinger capacity (increase the time your WSC stays active), crit eye, crit boost, attack up (for normal and wide, cus they use pokes).

Honestly, the more I played around with gunlance the more I realized how much I love it. I started off loving the charge blade and the shield, but I always wanted something a bit more defensive. Gunlance still makes me feel like I can dish out some damage and it looks cool as hell! How many other games can you have a lance and a gun combo? I love the weapons that you can only find in monster hunter like the switch axe, charge blade, gunlance, and some of the other wacky weapons.

Start with premiere pro or video editors. Those are the base Then continue with Photoshop do you can get use to edit details on pictures. And then you go with After effect. This is like a Photoshop but for videos.

If you get that Wyvernstake Blast in the right spot on most monsters you can chainjuggle them to death in now time. Gunlance has obsurd control. And if using Long Shelling, Earplugs 5 and every other defensive under the sun is a DPS upgrade. 0 downtime, 0 worries about getting 1 or 2 shot on most hunts. Just stand in fire, DPS higher.

Went though all of Iceborn, Guard Five so I blocked pretty much all damage, Guard Up so I could block literally anything, and then everything came together when I got Raging Brachydios Armor, so now I had Artillery FIVE out of 3, shells did so much damage and I could Wyvern Fire every like 30 seconds. Real talk from another GL user, you are familiar with the speed-reload right? I don't believe I saw any clips of it in use so I just wanted to be sure you were using the full kit. You can use the same reload button combo as the main reload to net yourself just the shells following basically any "Lance" centric move. It is THE core part of the Normal Gunlance's main Full-Burst playstyle (Fatalis is one such GL).

Gunlance is easily my favourite weapon in the game. Literally the only complaint I have about it is that the Shelling Types feel too restrictive for how each GL plays. Gunlance would be more fun if the shelling types didn't mean that one specific combo outdid every other move in your arsenal in almost all situations.
