Wild hearts didnt really fail.... it just got slaughtered by EA. There was and still is a good portion of us that love that game its so much more of a spectacle than monster hunter

The only game series ive seen be anywhere similarly successful in the same vein of monster hunter, *that i also play* , would be God Eater, but even then God Eater is quite niche in comparison to monster hunter i guess. Its a lot more openly dark, and is much more anime in terms of artstyle for those interested.

I've seen this game, and oh boi, is it rough. But I have hope for it. About the 1 hour thing. It's talking about in game hour. Which is 1 min. Oh. And it's really more fair to say this is a game like ark, a collany sim type game with the combat from mh. If it gets good I'll enjoy it. But God eater or toukiden is a far closer comparison to a mh game. A hunting RPG.

Alright, played a lot of MH games by now. First was Tri, second was World. After I played World a lot of people said World is not the best and I should try 4 and GU. After beating GU and 4U. I tried the new portable version Rise/Sunbreak. I even finished both Stories. All games had incredible end game grind. But, to this day, MHW is my favorite. Just by sheer immersion it has, I just love it most. I should finish Tri at some point, as when I first played it I was just a kid (game got stolen btw). So basically World is my first finished MH game, maybe another reason why it is my favorite. Hammer/LS my two weapons that I played most with, The worst monster design I saw was Bulldrome, he just charges and that felt like a lazy fight. Plesioth at least had a moveset, while his hitboxes were fixed after 2. I often replay MH games with new chars from start to end game. So far I would rate MHW>MH4U>MHGU>MHR>MHstories2>MHStoires1 and then there is a stop for MH Tri if I ever decide to get it on my Wii which is left far away in my old country.
