On Vitamin D - Older male living in Florida who tries to get a little sun most days. After multiple tests and using doses of D3 in the 1000 IU to 5000 IU per day I settle on 5,000 IU per day most days in order to get my D levels in the 40 to 50 range. This is just my experience, but suggest testing then starting with about 2000 IU if under 40. You have to .wait for 30 to 60 days to reach equilibrium and retest. You can by tests on line and go to Labcorp or Quest without a Doctor's order. In fact, suggest you get your own CBC and CMP panels on line and test at least 2x a year, learn what the values mean, what is optimum noy just OK, and work to bring this values into line.

Is there an efficacy difference when supplementing Vit D + K between liquid drops and pills/caps/other?

What units do you mean by 40 of vitamin D? Are you talking about nmol/L or ng/mL in the video?

Would you have an opinion on a doctor giving a prescription for Vitamin D. His rationale is store-bought vitamin D is unreliable and not high dose enough for most people...
