You could try and tie up the lines with hooks and hold the cup underneath and move the cup/catfish away. Might be interesting what the results would be if you offset the hook more. Nice demonstration Clayton.

Tie the other end of the lines to something, drop the hooks into the cup, then pull the cup instead of the lines. This will better simulate a fish taking the bait plus take away any subconscious bios you might impart on pulling the lines.

You are pulling differently by starting up with one and down with the other.

The direction you snell the knot determines which way the hook will rotate I wasn’t forcing the hooks to go any particular direction
