I have the exact opposite problem with the DCST925, the line keeps retracting inside the spool. It doesn't happen while free spinning, only when I start cutting

Damnit 😭 the part I have the most problems with, is what to do once the string is spooled, as in those notches, but literally every video I see, always skips over that part. I swear, it makes me fee so stupid that the part I'm having trouble with, is the part everyone assumes nobody would be dumb enough to need help with

Strimmers are a terrible invention no matter what brand iv ever used the string always unravels or shortens after only 10mins of use

Agree, but now you can buy the pre wound string. It is guaranteed not to unwind in your spool head. I first discovered this when reviewing the trimmer in the link I attached. Sure there are way better trimmers out there than the one in this video but take a look at the pre-wound string. That was the best part of this machine. kzbin.info/www/bejne/Z3fMapublN2DebM
