I was shocked to see damage in my front bumper from my most recent track day at VIR. My 718 is wrapped in 7mm XPEL. The damage was through the PPF, well into the paint. Thanks for the recommendation!

I simply done double PPF (stek) in the areas where needed . And just change the PPF top layer yearly. (Done over 15 trackdays and it was perfect). And I don't need to get them down after everytrackday and install before another track day. What I use to remove tire marks and also every oil greace: Avery Dennison Surface cleaner (The PPF install guys use the same for before PPF installation)

Thanks! I have double ahead of the rear wheel but my guy says it’s unlikely to remove the top layer without messing up the bottom layer. We will see next time!

I was unsure how safe this is to apply over the PPF. Essential on the rear rockers on the GT4--those get hammered.

Great stuff as usual Danial. I think ceramic coating will provide another layer of protection when its applied on top of PPF. Also do you do anything to protect the windshield? My GT4 has 20k miles. Its windshield is pretty beat up with small chips everywhere. It gets pretty distracting when the sun shines on it.

Yeah the 718 windshield get a lot. I’m on #2 since around 10k miles. There are windshield protection layers but they all have issues and only last a year. Y windshields are $100 through insurance but I do hate all the little specks in the sunlight. Might try one of the higher rated layers of protection next time just to see

There is a reason I only buy white cars, they get peppered but its not noticeable. I get a new chip in the windshield almost every track day.
