@@JessMariaDwyer the one that I was with for 8 years , try to tell everybody that I cheated cause my childhood man friend and 2 of my girl friends stay in my living room sleeping in pandemia cause nobody could be in the streets after 7 pm , he knew they were my best friends and he use that to isolate me from everyone including my family and then realized he was cheating the whole time with lists of women a girls from many diferentes countries and had a full on relationship at work in US when we were living there . He even bough a house with the woman and he was engaged to me .

This is like my ex. He invented a story about me seeing a man half my age, believed it, and even told my father over the phone. This was completely false and nothing like it happened. I will never make sense of it.

Thank you, thank you Sam Vaknin! After 45 years I finally understand why my ex husband acted as he did. He pushed me until I left, and then was infuriated when I did. All of my guilt and angst over all of this is now gone. You have a real knack for explaining complicated psychological concepts. I can see your brilliance. You are doing so much good in the world, teaching our new mental health professionals, healing the wounded, paving new ground in the understanding of narcissism and related concepts. My exhusband and his father (who is also a malignant narcissist) made up a story and told the family I had cheated. I always believed that they made that up because my exhusband literally did not have any other excuse to divorce me. I had done everything for him and loved him to pieces. After watching your video, I now understand why they made up their story. Which makes sense of course.

Wow, this actually makes sense when it comes to my husband. I’ve always said to him. I feel like it wouldn’t matter who is laying next to him in bed, as long as it’s someone. I don’t know if he is actually a narcissist or just has narcissistic traits but so much about him anymore. Worries the hell out of me and has my stomach and knots. We have been together 11 years, married 6. I have 3 adult kids & he has 2 he never sees. He had a lot of CSA growing up from kindergarten through his early 20s. Teachers aids (males) from his school we’re doing things to him not only at school but after school, on the weekends, and on summer break because his mom would send him over to his house for some so-called tutoring. That man ended up bringing him to a circle of other men that lived several counties away and they literally used him like a piñata, it was like a piece of candy being handed around at six years old. That was his normal growing up. So I do have some compassion for his behaviors but the longer we’re together the more I’m realizing the more different we are and his normal is very scary to me.

Yes, getting told not to communiate with any exs, only for them to constantly tell me they are friends with all their exs was bonkers. Their jelousy was out of fear before we ever started and poisoned this among other things, like rage at me for imagined slights, and never acknowledged they ended this day one saying they don't need a rel. I was in loonyville living with them, eventually ignored but raged at once I moved on. Who wouldn't, there was zero in that for me tobe loyal to, and then they said I was cheating and already dumped after one week which was a pure fiction they concocted🤯 Now I understand this childish idiot who wasn't capable of relationship. And you nailed it, this idiot literally said they were irresistable😵‍💫😵‍💫😵‍💫😵‍💫🥴🥴🥴

Hypothetically let's say someone were to incur punishment from his girlfriend for a merely perceived wayward look, only to then realize he was worthless to her. It would be healing for him to learn that her cathexis was not for him but for her own fragile false self, this cathexis heretofore a source of confusion for him and a perfect fuel for rumination. As laypeople we can't hope to diagnose and understand, but we must do our best in our personal choices.

In the first month of our marriage my husband told me if he hadnt married me he would have got a prostitute , he said this in a very intimate moment, i was shocked. So ya just a prop indeed.
