doing block starts with little resistance can help the first 10m. Most use some kind of towing resistance but inertial resistance (a wearable weighted vest/shorts @5-7%BW) is optimal! Inertial resistance is the only natural resistance for locomotion. That is why it's so effective in my opinion!
