Nate you look good and you played the middle road well. He did take responsibility for his actions. He followed his heart. Mike Mayock doesn’t have the greatest personality. He is all business. It was about a helmet and his feet. Mayock tries to be a tough guy. Because things didn’t work out in Pittsburgh, it snowballed in Oakland. Then New England got him cheap but didn’t want the association for their brand once the allegations came out. People jumped on the hate Antonio bandwagon. He’ll be fine.

You choosing sides. This is a he say, he say and AB has prof that is Ankle was not right and prove that he told the coach thru text. On prof the coach have is word of mouth. The owners don’t care about the players nor do anyone because of what the media says. Why would dude cry about the ball when last game before that he had 17 targets. Ain’t no one going to talk to me like that I don’t care who your are. I might wouldn’t handle that his way but I diffidently would proved my point. Our best decisions often cost the individual goal(s) etc But yields fruition for those that come afterwards Nate and others feels Antonio could've made choices to remain in "Good Standings" per se with media, bosses, fans etc But good standings would've also allowed the status quo to stay in place The worlds ever changing And The "My body" response is deeper than body btw... It's more of my cause Also I'm sure the team and Arians also could've made better choices with AB and other players as well (And this is inclusive of all teams and sports) A SB repeat was lost... AB could've caused TB to be preparing for another NFC championship game What could the franchise have done/will do to prevent anything else like this from derailing the ultimate goal ? Athletes aren't going backwards so leagues have gotta restructure themselves It's that or sports as far as the billionaire owners concerned are ruined

Generally speaking, in any given sport, team Doctors, Medical Personnels and Organization doesn't always put the players' health and recovery before winning games. 👀👀 Players and their agents then have to take matters into their own hands to protect the interest of the player. Now, in AB's case it seems like he didn't inform the proper channels before hand. Communication is key! He said he told the coach and others Wednesday but they can deny that easily. Then Sunday game time he said he can't play.🤷‍♂️ That should have been handled off the field. He should have formally informed them that he was still injured. The MRI from October might help him because of the time period for recovery.

@DanielBarberMusic
@DanielBarberMusic 2 жыл бұрын
@@JOHNKIRBY2077 that’s not what Arians said, and it is a misrepresentation of his comment. It was public knowledge at the time that he had ankle issues. But he was cleared at the beginning of the game and he himself texted to Arians that he was ready and excited to play. Protocol is that if anything changes during the game, there is a reporting structure through the trainer to communicate that to the coaches who set up the groupings for play. These protocols are common throughout the NFL, and AB would know them as well as anyone else. AB did not communicate any change of status during the game, so as far as the coach is concerned, AB should have been available to play. That’s what Arians was referring to when he said he hadn’t heard anything about the ankle. I.e., he hadn’t heard anything during the game that would have changed AB‘s status to play. All indications are, including his flareup about targets at halftime, that the whole thing was not about his injury. He was concerned about his incentive bonuses. And after the incident, he’s only defensible position to take would be that he was injured and couldn’t play, not that he was upset about the prospect of not getting enough targets. That would be a ludicrous position to take legally and from a PR standpoint.
@JOHNKIRBY2077
@JOHNKIRBY2077 2 жыл бұрын
@@DanielBarberMusic You don't think that with The Buccaneer receivers getting banged up that they didn't pressure Brown to return early? They might not have but it will all come out in arbitration. I'm by no means absolving AB from his nonprofessional actions.
@DanielBarberMusic
@DanielBarberMusic 2 жыл бұрын
@@JOHNKIRBY2077 They certainly could have, but if that was what was actually going on, then all he would have needed to do would be to follow standard protocol to communicate that to the coaches. But he didn't. And to me it doesn't jive that he would get so bent out of shape if it was about his ankle, because he would have known about that protocol, and would have known he hadn't followed it. But making that scene makes more sense if it was targets, his "prove-it" contract, and a million dollars that wasn't guaranteed. So on the one hand, we've got Tom Brady who virtually everybody who has ever played with him (except, now, AB) expresses great love and appreciation for, and Bruce Arians who has reputation throughout the NFL as a players coach. And on the other hand we have AB, who has alienated virtually everyone he has played for, INCLUDING teams with whom he had guaranteed contracts. So now we have AB and his lawyer trying to make this case about his ankle as the reason why he made a spectacle of himself in front of the world of football fans. He knows he messed up, he knows about his reputation, and he knows his chances of getting another chance in the league are slim to none if he can't somehow convince a few people (esp one team owner) that he was treated unfairly in this situation. Does he have an ankle injury? Of course, it was common knowledge. Was it dangerous enough to keep him from playing? Not according to AB and the trainers before the game. Did it keep him from complaining about targets and about Gronk being "Brady's boy?" Nope. And did it keep him from trashing Brady, who always advocated for AB and who has been gracious to him even after his public tantrum? Unfortunately, no.

Professional football is like any other business, to make money. Players are like any other employee, trying to make money.
