There's something very philosophical in your statement. I believe most aspects of the USSR very soon became very different to what Lenin had imagined and intended. "There are no passengers, only drivers" ended up being "There are hardly any drivers, most people can only dream of being passengers".

I'm glad it seems they kind of figured out how to turn around with each side being controlled by a different trans. Put one car in 1st, and the other in reverse, and it should almost spin in a circle. That would have been fun to see them do.

Make it a dually! Hydro steering would probably help, and a single cowel that runs to both intakes would be sweet! And exhaust pipes through the hood!

I always wanted to see a 'direct-drive' reciprocating engine propulsion system, where there's just 1 huge cylinder attached to the frame on a pivot with a big rubber shoe on the end of the piston, and when the piston extends, it just pushed the shoe on the ground thus pushing the car forward like a foot. Big Piston, No Crank. Could do it with steam or compressed air. You could row the car like a boat with 1 on each side; or several on the back out of phase to get smoother propulsion.

As always, Awesome. Anyway, I wouldn't have removed any wheels. I'd have both steering wheels chain connected so both front wheels would turn together. The car would have ended with 8 wheels. Clutch, brake and accelerator also connected, everything duplicated and connected to the left car's driver pedals and wheel.

Ladawheel. Mount a small working ferris wheel in the back to increase passenger capacity. It turns when the car is moving. Everyone gets to share time being in the car equally. Could be fun if rotating quickly.
