So happy for Coco that she has made changes to her forehand. It’s more than the grip. The preparation is much earlier, the swing path is less loopy and more direct, allowing her to hit more forcefully through the ball, and, maybe most importantly, it looks like she has a plan on each shot, attacking the ball differently whether it’s on the rise or coming in low. I think she has the most talent of anyone on tour, and better technique on her shots will enable her to make best use of all her athletic gifts.

It’s crazy how the tables turn, in past matches coco’s forehand and inconsistent serve used to be Iga’s path to victory. Today Coco hit her forehand on top of the baseline and took time away from Iga’s forehand setup. She actually used her serve to dictate points strategically too. Beautiful to see her growth especially against someone like Iga👍🎊.

Oooh that handshake was alittle frosty the snowman!! ❄️❄️☃️! 😅…Coco went a digging after her double fault 😂😂❤! She looks so good!
@godz4ever404Күн бұрын
It was a good match but I don't want Coco to become cocky as the H2H between Iga is still not that great. I've never seen this "digging" move and if it was bcuz of the double fault, then that was and is being disrespectful. I want the ladies to EXPECT to win; have the confidence to do it and move accordingly. These little "celebrations" they're doing I'm not so fond of. But that's just me! 😢
@Praise-Him2Күн бұрын
@ You are right. I hope it was her meaning she was digging deep to win. Sometimes the extra celebrations can be a bit much with the players, but she’s young and has lost to her so many times so I’m sure it meant so much to her. Hopefully this won’t turn into a frosty rivalry. Iga has her moments of being questionable for sure as well, so hopefully the maturity level is better for everyone in the future.
