Muchova is currently by far a most-fun-to-watch player on the WTA Tour. Not only because of her style and technique, but also because how her game forces other players to try something different than their usual baseline game. I hope she stays healthy and keeps playing for long time.

Well said. That's exactly why I started watching her a few years ago and have really started pulling for her. I really would love to see her win a slam this year. She deserves the breakthrough.

@zrob816 күн бұрын
@AlAmin-ol5fx I wouldn't put nearly as much stake in Paolini. She had a lot more success on paper, but she peaked at a very good time and had pretty good draws in her tournaments. That's why she ended up #4. I'd bet on Muchova against her more often than not
@stanmartin341216 күн бұрын
@@AlAmin-ol5fx Sorry, I should have made my opinion clearer. From the current top 30, there are 3 players fun to watch: Muchova, Paolini, and Navarro. But I think Muchova is ahead of the other two when it comes to shot making and technique.
@stanmartin341216 күн бұрын
@@zrob8 I have been following her career for the last 6-7 years, both on and off court. I am fluent in Czech and I have seen quite few of her interviews in Czech. She is very down to Earth, doesn't overcomplicate things, and is brutally honest about the sport of tennis without being condescending, controversial, or disrespectful. I think that her attitude transfers also into her game. I am not sure she will ever win a Grand Slam, although she does have a game to do it, But she will need a bit of luck, a right draw, and a couple of upsets. She can handle to a certain point some of the hard hitters (Sabalenka, Rybakina. Collins etc.) but she will always find it difficult to handle some other hard hitters, especially those who are mentally strong and have a bit more finesse in their game than the group I listed earlier. I think her biggest obstacle will always be Coco Gauff, who has been constantly improving both her game and her mental strength.

Muchova has the game that creates a match up issue for Paolinii. Paolini's game is not powerful enough to hit through the defensive wall of Karolina but Karolina is strong and crafty enough to break down Paolini.
@MariaCerase16 күн бұрын

@@pavlazelena1929 I think Muchova is the great player to watch. Classic player with great shots and patterns. However, I imagine she will lose the next match with Coco Gauf, as always happened. She does not have the intensity to win against a top player. As for Paolini, she has never had the right coach even now that she has reached No. 4. Losing five times with the same player is absurd, unless athlete a No. 1. This is not the case with Muchova. A taboo has been created. Italian tennis in the past, has always been at a low level. This match didn't really matter, the United Cup is a minor cup. For Paolini, it risks representing a loss of confidence that is fundamental for her career. Thinking that she has reached the limit of her possibilities. It would be a serious mistake. Unfortunately, the incorrect tactical management of the match and the statements of the player herself, suggest that she perhaps believes that a dream is over. A real shame.

The United Cup is a minor formula and cup. Losing to Chiecha in this way is not very acceptable. Muchova and Mach are ranked number 24 and 25, but they appeared as number ones. Paolini could and should have won. She appeared blocked by a taboo and given the defeat maybe this has worsened. For Cobolli the defeat could have been foreseen, but not in these terms. If you wanted to participate in this cup you should have done it with the best players. In short, the management of everything could have been better.
