True. Muchova played well, and this is the good game that has gotten her this far in this tournament. Coco is just playing better and is more focused, and has fewer errors on her forehand which Muchova hit to several times in rallies like she used to. It is stronger now than they are used to, so it does not break easily and spray ball outside the court or send weak loopy balls over and over.

Muchova is an underrated tennis player. She has very good court composure and tennis IQ. She is similar to krejicova But she gets injuries and sickall the time. She is like Kaliniya who has the tennis skills but lacks the physical strength to go deep into the tournaments.

I watched the full match and it seems my fav player used the same strategy against someone with phenomenal power. Drop shots and serving wide + rushing to the net had zero effect on coco who was everywhere. There is only one game plan against coco: speed and power. Some of the shots caused my heart to bleed - sliced backhand that crawled like a snail to reach coco who had donkey hours to prepare for a powerful blast. Tons of unforced errors from Kája which were likely due to pressure from their H2H. She played a flawless match against paolini the day before. Beauty, I really hope to see you win GSs in 2025 and beyond. Kája looked beautiful in the new kit. No more shorts. My goodness.

Cocos forehand reminds me of Nadal, aim is to top spin the opponents into the corner until they give up. I can see she's still getting used to this new style of forehand hence it doesnt yet look strong enough, its consistent but not punchy. It gets the rally going unlike the punch in her backhand. Slowly but surely. Iga will win tomorrow as she has more complete punch in her ground strokes than coco for now.
