Games are always won up front, backs can't do anything if the forwards don't win the battle. This is where Payne Haas needs to stand up and deliver because he's done nothing at Origin level. If it's not Tino targeting him it's Carrigan and they always limit his impact so Payne needs to show he can step up from club level and deliver at Origin level because he's never done it before. Spencer Leniu had more influence and impact in one game than Payne has shown his whole Origin career.

Hes had great performances and is up there with the best in current origin but obviously has gotten worked out recently by QLD so def needs to step up. I would say the forward pack in NSW has been reasonably dominant, especially in G1 despite the send off.

I agree and disagree. I think our forwards have won the battle for most games since Hass has been involved in the team. However, i do think he could lift even more and have a blinder.

I agree 100 percent, no matter how good your backs are, if the forwards no good the backs are screwed. Look at the Penrith with their top two, make it easy for their backs to attack

Qld's strength is not about individual player but the who team collectively. Players are picked to cover other positions.and origin as we know is a different beast altogether. It may look good on paper but everyone must do their bits to relieve the pressure from this high octane environment. This side is well balanced from the front which is where experience comes into play and the back line which is so lethal when it comes to speed. So I rest my case for now and let the game begins next Wednesday night... Bring it on !!!! 💪
