Great video. Very informative. Am I correct in assuming this will not work on a Yamaha SHS10 Keytar, which only has Midi Out, due to powering issues? How about SysEx dumps, could this work with a JV1080?

MIDI OUT is the minimum requirement for WIDI. If the SHS-10 MIDI Out is delivering MIDI Spec power (3.3V or 5V) then WIDI will work. I've just checked CME's compatibility database and WIDI Master's have been confirmed as fully operational with the SHS-10. And yes, WIDI is more than capable of handing SysEx dumps 🙂

Have 3 on hand and two more incoming. Two WIDI masters and one WIDI jack. The two others will be WIDI Masters. So far, they work just fine. Set up and firmware upgrades on Android were a pain but got it done. Besides the flaky Android app, it is top notch.

No, WIDI only transmits and receives MIDI data, not audio.
