👋We invite you to watch the 16th International Henryk Wieniawski Violin Competition, which will be fully broadcast on our 'Wieniawski Society' channel. The competition will be held between 7 and 21 Oct. 2022. Official website: competition.wieniawski.com
@matthewchow40809 жыл бұрын
To do this AND Sibelius in one night is simply insane. Who cares if she messed up at the very end of basically the hardest violin concerto that is still played to date. There's a reason why she won even with her glaring mistakes.
@badkid739 жыл бұрын
+Matthew Chow Nobody performs Wieniawski live. It is too exhausting. And all of the recordings available are not played through live. Her fingers must've been giving out at the end. This is an impressive performance. Clear to see why she won.
@rollsreus28078 жыл бұрын
+badkid73 Itzhak Perlman has played it live before.
@badkid738 жыл бұрын
Sure... it's been played live before. He probably played it at around the time of his Wieniawski studio recording when he was in top form. Try finding a program these days. You'll be hard pressed to find a violinist who keeps it in his repertoire for play on short notice. Maybe you'll see it played in Poland. It doesn't reach the technical heights of Britten or Schoenberg, but it is absolutely exhausting. Wieniawski is on par with Paganini 1, but longer...

I love the third movement
@MsVerlinden10 жыл бұрын
