Old nightwish sleeping sun, first heard nightwish when they were new but didn't know who they were was instantly amazed, found out who they were a few years later. Back catalogue bought soon after and been a fan ever since. Seen them live twice once in a small venue then second time at the filmed Wembley show.

Tarja is said like 'Taryah', the name is coming from Daria (Finnish T might sound almost D for English ears - like Welsh tad is dad in English). All the Nightwish names have the J said like Y in Yes - for example: Floor Jansen, Jukka Nevalainen (the 1st drummer) etc.

You need to check out Maro the bassist and his band Tarot. They've been around a long time, in the band performs with his brother. They haven't been doing much recently but they have some really killer stuff. He also has another band called Northern Kings they give a metal twist to songs like Mamma from Genises. But also have a look see at Leo Moracchioli.

Nightwish's 3 singers: 1. Tarja (original singer) 2. Annette 3. Floor (current singer) everyone knows Floor, she's super popular with everyone, especially right now, and is a really good singer, having a huge variety of singing capability (pop, classical/opera, belting, growling/raspy), able to sing nightwish's old songs that were for Tarja's classical/opera singing, as well as new songs for her own variety/range of singing abilities Unfortunately for Annette, she's a pop singer, and a very good singer too, but her pop singing just didn't go that well with nightwish's music, which was made for Tarja's classical/opera singing. So, usually, she gets left out. so, it comes down to "Targasm (Tarja) vs Floorgasm (Floor)" in terms of the Nightwish singers in who you like most, if you like classical/opera singing better, Tarja is better at it, but that's all she can do, but she does it really well, she's really got a beautiful voice, if you like more pop singing, belting and growling/raspy, with or without classical/opera singing, than you like Floor better I knew nightwish from the early 2000s, so Nightwish will always be with Tarja, but Nightwish with Floor is really good too, but it's Tarja, who's my favorite singer with nightwish (many others will help you out with Floor's songs, so I'll just stick to Tarja's songs here) ---------- if you do like Tarja with nightwish, here's some good ones: (NOT ranked, just listed) 1. End of an Era (her last concert with nightwish, hard to find good quality and the entire concert, as it gets taken down) 2. Phantom of the Opera (her duet with Marco, really good, both of them together, this song was actually used in the Phantom of the Opera remake movie in 2004) 3. Wishmaster 4. Planet Hell (marco sings in this song as well) 5. End of All Hope 6. Dead Boy's Poem 7. Nemo (watch the official music video, NOT her concert performance of it, as it's really good, this is probably what got most of us older fans of nightwish, hooked to nightwish and her, after finding/watching this song by her and nigthwish) 8. As much as I have respect for Tarja ("Tar-ya"), next to Floor's version, this is a little thin. Polite would be another way to describe it. She never really unleashes her power. Floor really makes you feel the pain she's singing about. Try the acoustic version with Floor, Troy and one guitar from the recent Planet Rock Session they did to promote HUMAN :||: NATURE. 👍

I think Nemo means noone or maybe anyone. If that translation is correct, its sort of saying "I am noone" or "I am anyone."
