I run in 1080's and love them. Every 3-4 months I get a new pair for running and rotate the older pair into daily use. The foam doesn't seem to be as soft after about 400 miles.

I might be tripping but I've kind of changed my opinion on shoes like this for general comfort. They're great for running but if you have a job where you're on your feet all day I feel like they're a bit detrimental. They're designed to carry momentum, so the curve at the front naturally pushes your hips forward slightly I feel like. Also the softness I feel like is causing you to activate more stabilising muscles in your legs. Just try standing on one foot with these on, then try with no shoe on. I think something a bit firmer/flatter is better for spending a lot of time on your feet. The initial feel of them though is really good.

What would you recommend for a work shoe? The biggest issue is those more casual shoes are pretty uncomfortable in comparison.

@@therealvoltixtbh I'm not sure, I'm looking for something too as previously I'd been in the mind that things like these were the best, I'd had a few hokas and some of these new balance fresh foam shoes. I am looking to try some New Balance 880 v6 and see what they're like.

Went from Nike Pegasus to New Blalance 1080v13s and never looking back better stability comfort quality I can run and walk for longer periods these have to be the best shoes I’ve ever had in my entire life.

@@elizabethw.454 slightly but I will say the upper part where the toe box is very flexible and expands so it helps but if you have a wide foot I would recommend getting any of the two wide sizes they offer.

Hey man, i tested them ALL. I mean really ALL over 20 pair the best of the best: The most comfortable of all is 100% Rebel V4! Then 1080v13 and then More V4. The More5 is comfortable yeah but not even close to the Rebel V4!

I prefer my ASICS Nimbus 25 over my 1080 v13 because it has a better bounce back. Still 1080 v13 are great for runs & walks. Thanks Hes

Asics Nimbus 25 is not comfortable. It look old within a few days. About 5 km walk.

I bought this shoe and was tossing up between the Asics nimbus 26 and this so I tried both. If the new balance had the amazing tongue of the nimbus it would be the perfect shoe. I ended up going with this anyway because its very nice around the ball of your feet which ive alway had issues with and love it.

They kinda resemble Hoka shoes and they cost the same as Hokas. I was told these particular shoes support feet that supinate (lean outward) and pronate (lean inward). I’m going to buy them.

7:05 does anybody else hate the shape of these at the ankle? They create a pinch point at the anterior ankle (lateral malleolus) you can see it in the video. It’s a strange shape compared to rounded shape of most shoes.

I tried the wide and extra wide but both v13 weirdly cut into my foot on the outside of my forefoot for some reason. The extra wide was way too wide everywhere else. I always get 1/2 size up and a wide in new balance. The NB Rebel 4 fits well and the NB More v 5 is roomy and the outside is enormous. All with great cushion though especially the high stack More v 5. I like walking in the v 5. I'm not sure of running in it.

I found the 1080v13's comfy but since I'm a heel striker, it was not as comfy for me compared to my More V3 and More V5 shoes with the 4mm drop. Great review of them though!

The high stack is stable for me. It's a roomy shoe. I always get 1/2 size up and a wide in NB. Makes me wonder how a regular width in it would be but I'll stay with what I have since I like roomy. It is enormous. My Hoka Cliftons and Rebel 4 are tiny compared to it. The entire length of the cushion is very good and soft. I like walking in it. As for running it feels strange because they are huge. I'm not a serious runner. I don't think I recommend it for serious runners. It could make a good hiker boot. I got the only color I liked black over grey and it looks good.

But what happened was I bought the asics gel nimbus 25 and it was very good but wanted an even softer cushioning, then I bought the new balance fresh foam v13 and its good but I got used to maximum cushioned shoes like asics gel nimbus 25, so it kinda feels like barely cushioned when I'm wearing the v13. That's why I'm thinking of buying the more foam v5 because I want something more and max cushioned since I got used to it. And regarding buying it wide Its much better for the feet , I bought the regular, and it feels regular. Not crowded and not roomy unless u feel like moving your toes u will not feel much room which is medically bad even if u have regular not wide feet.
