That's how I painted my frame on my truck. Used rust primmer on it. Frame was not rusted but used it anyway. So looks good to me.

Looks good Jessi at least you have one good thing going for you down there in Tennessee doesn’t get as cold as it does up in Maine or Vermont where I am I don’t think you get much snow. Is that gonna be a Dooley?

And is looking to keep this one a factory single wheel, eventually crew cab will be going back to a dually once it's ready to be back on the road

Hi Jesse I'm currently working on the body of my 93 6.5 and have removed both front fenders and inner shields. Am considering using a Rhino coating from the mounding line down to combat the rust issues up here in Saskatchewan. The rust had literally eaten the bottom third of fenders off, but I bought a parts truck that has saved big $. Like the job you're doing, the paint for the frame is same as mine but I didn't pull the cab this time. Keep sending your tips, thanks.

Holly cow that is a heck of an undertaking! I am very excited to see this project progress. I doubt I’ll ever go this far with my ‘97 K3500 but I know I’ll learn a ton of stuff following this build. Thanks for all you do!

What is the coolant bypass hose called on my 94? I've tried O'Reilly and AutoZone I can't find it online. Or what size is the hose?
@JessePelkey1 Жыл бұрын
Are you referring to the little hose that goes from the thermostat housing down towards the water pump almost in a vertical fashion? If so you should just be able to take that line off and take it to an O'Reilly's and replace it with generic coolant hose. I don't know the size of the hose right off the top of my head
