I find it interesting that the defendant hired a lawyer, which would cost her much more money to fight this lady in the long run, rather than just refund the money. I think one of the lines in the beginning from the plaintiff set the stage "she wanted the wig with quick turn over". I think the defendant was going to get a real hair wig, but those take time. I think the plaintiff really liked a wig that was synthetic so they just said "yeah yeah sure, here you go" thinking they won't hear the end of it because wig owner don't typically get their "hair" done.

This same exact thing has happened to me, the “human hair” was the wrong length and texture and didn’t even match the box! I couldn’t get the owner of the company (SamsBeauty located in Rosemont, IL and the website) to come face to face with me. She instead argued with me through her employees walkie talkie before finally giving me a “courtesy” refund. The hair was a $300+ gift to me and had I not been a seasoned Cosmo and Weavologist, I would’ve installed the hair and worn it a while before realizing it wasn’t human and by that time I wouldn’t have been able to hold the company accountable and get a refund. It takes a special skill to tell if the hair is human BEFORE washing, most ppl can’t touch the packaged hair and tell. I can tell by the sheen that this is a blended wig (synthetic fibers mixed with human hair sourced from different donors). It probably can’t take more than 350-400 degrees without melting.

The fact she paid 900+ for a bob is crazzzy
@daynasafranek78078 ай бұрын
It’s a lot, for a bob. I could see if it were custom or came with a service, but for a synthetic wig, is especially crazy!

Kinda creepy that the defendant dude is wearing women's pink glasses, with animal prints on the temples, lol!!
@daynasafranek78078 ай бұрын
They preyed on a woman who has cancer, and there’s not much that is lower than that in life. She seems like a nice lady and that they put her through this, is reprehensible. SMH.

Heart breaking that she still feels so uncomfortable with her lack of hair. I'm praying that she is healed and that her hair is gorgeous today!

They kept talking about the "threats", but what led up to that? They never really addressed that part when asked. Then they claimed it wasn't the same wig. They should've just given her, her money back.

That poor plaintiff. Cancer, chemo, baldness, and getting screwed around by a small business because they misrepresented a wig and sold her garbage. I believe there is a significant, identifiable difference between synthetic and human hair wigs. Wendy Williams would know. I am sure her sister knows as well. Poor lady. By the way, I appreciate the channel uploading a quality version of this case as other uploads floating around KZbin have been unwatchable.
@alicialynnette98892 жыл бұрын
There is definitely a difference with human and synthetic hair. The salon should have known to not sell her this wig! PERIOD!! This is why she should have gone to a salon that knows that they are doing. No excuse for this.

11:46 I’m just going to say it, he’s asking this to the wrong crowd 😂😂😂😂😂. People who actually wear weave/wigs can spot a synthetic wig from a mile away. It smells differently, shines differently, the curls sit differently from human hair.

Just return the money. I purchased a wig for my sister and all the stores I visit they were nice, care and loving. They even give me a discount. Just a little make big difference.

The first thing out the wig store ladies mouth when she came back to the store was, tell her there’s a no return policy😒………….uhhh not when you sold me smth that was misrepresented missy!🤨🤷🏽♂️

Times are very tough, and unless you know that she has 100% insurance coverage, (this is the U.S.folks!), there is no double dipping in laying a claim for the cover portion, and seek other recourse for the remainder. The defendants "pro-community" stance doesn't wash any better than their wig: they will love the plaintiff... all the way to their anonymous attacks!

I don't understand why they were willing to raise funds for her, but wouldn't just refund her money? The defendant went on how they did so much charity to help cancer patients, yet they obviously misrepresented the wig they sold her, refused to refund her money, then accused her of switching the wig which is totally ridiculous! These people should be ashamed of causing this poor woman so much stress when she was already in a very stressful situation. I'm glad she got her money back and hope she makes a full recovery. My mother was a breast cancer survivor.

@@asgb752-belgium7 raising funds could potentially be used on tax deductions too, and is “good marketing” for them for being so kind. Such scammers.

I wish she would’ve went to a Black stylist sooo bad. She would’ve paid less than $300 for a high quality, human hair wig that lasts for years easily. That hair is obviously synthetic and cheap. $900? For that shiny Party City wig? Girllll 🥴 she could’ve gotten a nicer synthetic wig from a beauty supply store for $40.

Something is clearly off about the beauty shop guy. No sane guy would wear a pair of women's glasses to court, much less ones that draw even more attention because they stand out so much from otherwise normal attire. Also, I've never seen another litigant ask to be identified by their generic profession/job title. People ask to keep their surnames private plenty of times on the People's Court, but I've never seen a defendant or plaintiff, say, representing a Honda dealership be identified as "Car Dealership" when they are introduced.
