One thing I've noticed over the years is Judge Milian let's a lot of people get away with SO MUCH more than Judge Judy would ever let happen in her court room. Judge Milian lets people tell these long winded VERY SLOW stories, a lot of them almost never look her in the eye, which Judge Judy would never allow. Plus The People's Court cases just drag on and on, where as Judge Judy wants to get them in and out real quick without a lot of slow talking people taking up her day.

Considering he doesnt own that phone anymore, doesnt go through that bank anymore, and says he has gotten contacted by others about stolen cards makes me think hes a victim in this too. I don't know if the defendant has got a cognitive disability, but he sounds lost and confused. That may be because he is guilty and a terrible liar, or because he is genuinely innocent and his identity has been stolen. If his brother has a record also for stealing iPads, perhaps his brother was the one who did all this. I would be interested in seeing the update as to if the defendant is in fact guilty of this crime. Either way, I hope the plaintiff gets his money back from the thief and never does anything like this ever again.

I do as well maybe he thought they worked for the company and could hook him up. Some People just want to do something nice and thinking everyone is out to get you is how you can miss blessings. I can see this both ways I believe there could’ve been a way to see if it was legitimate but even still some companies don’t like anyone profiting but them so that may not be even legal to sell if it wasn’t a scam I’m not sure

Might be father doing it with the son...and using the sons info taking advantage. Reminds me of the judge judy eBay scammer who had a mom scamming. Judge Judy was gonna order child protective services because she said this activity is dangerous for children, and this peoples court case proves it.

I don't think this boy has the IQ to be pulling this type of scam - not trying to sound harsh, just an observation, he's not that cleaver. I believed him when he said he didn't have a zell account, and I believe him that no money went into his bank account. I suspect that someone who knows him used his name to do this. If this type of fraud is committed on CL, they will turn over all of the account information to the authorities once court ordered. Determining if it was this kid or not is not that difficult.
