After MANY Cold , and or Damp /Wet Cold Nights over the span of 50 years i only Own Two brand s of sleeping Bags . Wiggys and Western Mountaineering . Iv'e spent Many damp , Freezing Cold Nights Camping . I made up my mind a Longtime ago that i am not going to freeze my Ass off , wet and Cold any longer . Now i Don't . i have 3 weights of Wiggys Sleeping Bags . The Ftrss Superlight , The Ultima Thule and the Antarctic Bag . i have NEVER slept a single Night damp or Cold in ANY of these Bags and i doubt i Ever will . i have 2 western mountaineering bags in 950 weight overfilled sleeping bags i have used up in the Northwest , and their rated to -60° below zero , and are VERY LIGHTWEIGHT , COMPRESSABLE AND WARM . but very expensive . For the Money , the Wiggy's Bags are the Very best Sleeping bags money can buy . i refuse to go camping in Fall or Winter Camping without my Wiggy's bags and a italian military Surplus wool blanket . I got sick and tired of military surplus , coleman , North Face and other Shitty Bags a longtime ago . I' m very Happy with the wiggy's bags i have now and my warm weather Natured filipina wife loves her Ultima Thule mummy bag . I sleep in my antarctic weight rectangular bag because i am quite a bit larger than my wife . So were both perfectly happy in our Hammocks with our Bags in our Hammocks and Underquilts in our Sleeping bags with our Wool Surplus blankets i would trust to keep us warm , ANYWHERE ! We've Camped and slept from Montana , to Florida , Arkansas , Missouri , Mississippi , Texas , New Mexico , Colorado and NEVER SLEPT a Cold night yet in our hammocks using our wiggys bags .

Thanks for sharing! Still love my Wiggy's bag, need to do some winter camping with it after I break this illness. Glad to hear you're a fan of Wiggy's too!

I just bought my SECOND wiggys bag, love the "old one" I am only 6' tall, but have football shoulders. The MILITARY SLEEP SYSTEM WAS A JOKE. Wiggues regular wide body.... WORKS GREAT in eastern Oregon elk camp (November HIGH country).

I absolutely LOVE my wiggys "regular wide body". Its HEAVY, BUT, keeps me warm.

The lower Lamilite layer is thinner than the top, it's made to be used with insulated mats. Just scored a Ultralite Zero degree rectangular XL model with the compression sack in like new condition at a Savers thrift store last month for $9.99. Blew my mind when i pulled it out of the sack to noticed it still smelled new as well.. I'll never sleep in anything below zero in Northern New Mexico, the coldest I've seen it here in the mountains is 4 to 3 degrees at 8.500 feet at my house.

I just picked up a Superlite with the FTRSS overbag on a great sale he was having. I wish I had done so sooner. Now I understand what all the hype was about. Well worth the money considering I’ll probably never need a new bag for the rest of my natural life. I also grabbed the duck’s back Antarctic parka as it will be discontinued. Warmest parka I’ve ever wore.

@@Crafty.Veteran.Survival My endorsement is on the Wiggy's web site. I have the best down bag Western Mountaineering makes for summer mountain trips (I have also had it for 18 years.), but my Wiggy is my wet weather/canoeing bag. I trust it. I have slept in it wet in the 30's and I stayed warm and actually slept. It was dry by morning from my body heat. If the zombie apocalypse hits, this is the first thing I will grab as I head for the woods.

I have had my Wiggys bags for nearly 30 years. Still going strong and they have had heavy usage. Still maintain at least 70% of their loft. My wife washed one in an overloaded washing machine and destroyed the zipper and ripped the material. I sent it to wiggy's and they said sorry, we can't fix it, you'll have to buy a new one. After paying 35 shipping there and 35 back, I took it to a local seamstress and had it fixed for $20. Wiggy's did include a new zipper and then I used one of the small pillows and removed the insulation from it to fix the bag.

Glad to hear you've had a lot of experience with these bags! It's a shame about the zipper 😕 but I'm glad you were able to get it resolved. Good to know. Thanks for watching!

Great review! Wiggy's products are awesome. I've been using his products for years. I suggest getting his Jacket Liner or Vest Liner. They are awesome layers, light weight, pack down small and are relativity inexpensive. His 13" Lamilite socks are great too.

Yea I'm definitely happy with it. Cool, I'll look into those as well! Thanks for watching 👍

Wiggy bags are great (albeit too bulky for backpacking), I keep a Ultima Thule rectangular bag in my truck during winter, just in case!

I bought a series of Wiggy’s sleeping bags (6 total the polar and liners) on and everyone the zipper catches on the baffles. Every one. I’ll freeze before I can the get the zippers unjammed as it pinches the liner baffle every time to the point that they 🎉tear on it and a tooth broken off the zipper. On one bag I just said the hell with it and cut the entire zipper off and made it a blanket.
@Crafty.Veteran.Survival Жыл бұрын
Dang. I'd contact their customer service and see what they can do if I were you. I didn't have that issue, but that's a bummer that you did 😔 Hope you can get it resolved!

I also bought their arctic boots and one week later, he permanently dropped the price by over $70. When I complained how he had screwed over a customer who had purchased a lot of equipment in the past and how could he test me that way, he blew me off. When I said that I was not going to purchase anything from again, and was going to buy the Ely Mukluks for my daughter instead, his response was : “You must not love your daughter. “ My daughter absolutely loves her Mukluks and I will be buying her a second pair for her B-day. Wigglesworth or whatever his name is, is a real a-hole with an attitude. Makes me want to punch him out.
