In one of the poorly edited stock photos, a NERF Mega Centurion was shown firing standard elite darts in quick succession while the magazine hadn't been inserted fully. I mean in the past it was confusing since they all had the same basic profile. It was especially confusing with streamline vs elite darts since the streamlines didnt work in elite springers but they worked in elite flywheels and then elite was fully backwards compatible with streamline, but then you also had n-strike as a line that had 3 .50 cal darts: suction, whistler, and streamline. So some n strike blasters could only take one or two of the n strike ammo types and it was more complicated than clip = streamline and noclip = whistle. Not just that but dart tag added more complexity because as a kid I didnt fully understand or care about velcro vs whistler darts. Flywheels like ripping the velcro off the tag darts. Then you add buzzbee suction darts which seemed like the could work like whistlers but then you realize they are a bit shorter than n strike darts so they dont fit in a lot of front loading blasters and the dart posts in others would get in the way. Now elite is mostly nice in that it works with almost every .50 cal blaster... expet for some of the internal mag blasters, and old flywheel blasters. Now lucky for us, we dont live in 2010 so we dont have to deal with all of this. Now there are only 2 .50 cal ammo types and they have different general shapes (short vs full length darts), which makes it a lot harder to get confused about which ti buy. then all the others are wildly different from each other and have no complicated cross compatibility. (Mega, MegaXL, Rocket, Car, Disk, Ultra, Hyper, Rival, Sock grenade)

Actual guide There are many dart groups but there are only 6 types of dart types for Nerf blasters Names are N strike elite (The most common) Mega/Mega accustrike, Accustrike, Ultra, Rival and Missles A way to find out which dart is needed check the blaster type if it has the name of Mega Accustrike N strike elite Rival and so on Then put the corresponding dart to the barrel, missiles don't have a corresponding name but they are the largest dart type so it's a no brainer N strike elite darts can fit into: Regular, Zombie strike, doomlands, some of the accustrike weaponry, icon, and modulus Mega fits Mega and mega accustrike Accustrike will only fit open ended n strike elite weaponry or it's own Ultra sucks go buy rival Rival best with balls for ammo, doesn't fit any other blaster
