Hi Danny love the vids. I want to take up stick float fishing, but am new to rivers and only feel confident with a feeder right now. The thing I'm struggling to get my head around is setting the depth? With a waggler on stillwater it's always seemed straightforward to me using a plummet. Should I still be aiming for the bottom in flowing water? How do I avoid getting snagged by variations in depth? Thanks, Richie
@DannysAnglingBlog2 жыл бұрын
its smat mate you just need to make dure you have a heavy enough plummet to hold bottom and then its the same as still water, you only need to be there or there abouts if too deep will drag under so can adjust as go

Cracking perch. I caught one 2.2 lbs at a gravel pit in Middlewood, Cheshire. They filled in the pit and made it a rubbish tip :(

Another cracking video Danny, I noticed your plummet on your baittray...do you spend a lot of time plumbing up in conditions like this or do you adjust till you are dragging bottom, especially when the tide is coming and going?
@DannysAnglingBlog2 жыл бұрын
plum the start of trot and end of trot once to get the contour of peg, is it deep to shallow or shallow to deep and even, the rest i work as do tbh, when tide comes i re plum every 20 mins to keep in contention but as fines off i hold back hard so it becomes irrelevant then as my baits fluttering up

I have been told at the local tackle shop that fishing is free on the Preston bank up to half penny bridge. Do you know if that’s true and also where is good to park, great vid by the way, I used to fish church deeps as a kid when catching chub was pretty easy on swimfeeder 👍
@DannysAnglingBlog2 жыл бұрын
