That pigeon "rip and flip" technique was probably the simplest way to butcher something that I've ever seen. 20 times faster and cleaner than plucking and cutting up a chicken.

I like how Ben immediately stopped foraging for mushrooms (even though he had one next to his foot and was touching it) when the forager said it was enough. :) Way to preserve the amount in the forest
@moogle6810 жыл бұрын
Except most mushrooms are only alive for a day or two. Unlike with plants, when you pick a mushroom it will most certainly grow back, sometimes in greater numbers. The actual organism lives below ground. The things that pop up only exist to spread spores.
@paulm24675 жыл бұрын
It's always better to cut the stem so that you don't disturb the underground organism and then it will continue to grow and produce mushrooms.

+MrCube17 thats was amazing, fuck you saying. This is just munchies, vice's food show--and I agree its legit. Vice is great for covering stories no one else will due to censorship or higher-ups not allowing it. If anything, back in "the donkey sex days," Vice was more free to cover funnier, raunchiest, and more unknown stories. Now with it on HBO, as well as being pretty mainstream, the donkey sex days are over :(. I, for one, will never forget the look people gave me when I told them about the donkey sex video-as if I was a bold face liar hahaha--then I showed them the vice.

Ben is cracking and the filming is top class. I left Wensleydale 35 years ago for Paris and this series of Munchies from the North reminds me how beautiful the North is...at least in spring and summer...bloody miserable in winter😉 What happened to Ben...his style is superb. hywel roberts I think they were, but it would still be nice to think that they actually took someone's suggestion. If you think about it, the time to find a host, educate them a bit on the area, decide where they will go and figure out who the host will meet does seem like it would take about a year.

Does anyone know about a cooking show similar to this episode? Where it all takes place in the wild? Hunting, gathering and the cooking the meal outside as well. Been looking everywhere :) It would be amazing if you dedicated an entire show to cooking in the wild! Personally i love it, there's just something about being in, and living of the wild.. Never done it myself but would love to try it! :) And good job with this show guys! :)
