Thank you so much Roxy, I definitely put a part of me in each of my paintings. I used two references for this painting - a digital study that I painted on my ipad from life and a not so good photo from which I took the details of the pattern of the tablecloth. So basically this painting was almost painted from life. In the photo, the background was very dark and the flowers were almost white...

What brand of paint is it? I have problems with mine, some of the colors just wouldn't dry, they stay wet, and sticky like glue

I use W&N and Holbein gouache. Gouache should dry completely very fast. Something must be wrong with your paints.
