In the 15 years of watching nascar, this is def one of the best races I have ever seen. I used to love going to this track back in 2007-2009. I miss this times. But not one of those races had me on the edge of my seat like how it did tonight from start to finish.

I watched the Indy500 but not the Coke600. 😐I wish NASCAR could build a track in Europe or S. America too, and get famous champion drivers from other series like Kimi in the races. NASCAR is the safest format for drivers from other series to try, and even if they wreck the car, still do a TV interview 20 minutes later.

@@xxxYYZxxx yeah that’d be great and i don’t understand why they don’t do it, in europe there are some pretty good speedways like the lausitzring and indycar/cart used to race there too, probably nascar is more conservative under this point of view, about the drivers i think the situation will improve in the future thanks to the nascar euroseries, some drivers like hezemans or alon day already raced in cup series so maybe we’ll see more european drivers

@@pasqualeguadagni Kimi racing at Watkins Glen could open a lot of eyes to NASCAR, and I hope Alonso and other popular drivers are watching too. Any Kimi fans will want to see it, even if they hate on NASCAR. I think if skeptical fans could just hear the sound of NASCAR engines in person they'd get on board. I do wonder if existing European tracks are appropriate for NASCAR. Especially with oval racing, it needs to be seen in person at least once to fully appreciate. With NASCAR, the track is the "formula", not the car's specs. Even NASCAR truck series run faster lap speeds on standard oval tracks than F1 cars at Monza.

Define the Perfect Day. I hit a hole in one in golf (par 3) early in the day. The Celtics hold off the heat to go their first finals since 2010. Denny Hamlin wins the Coca Cola 600 in dramatic fashion. I had a pretty good May 29, 2022. (also the fact that larson should have won the race after so many things going wrong for him earlier in the race is incredible. gained a lot of respect for him yesterday.)

Denny Hamlin finally gets a win at Charlotte in his 31st start at the track and 17th Coca Cola 600! Michael McDowell finally scores a top 10 finish with 8th place in his 23rd start at the track and 14th Coca Cola 600! Cody Ware scores his 2nd best Cup finish and his best non plate race finish today scoring an 18th place finish in his 69th start! BJ McLeod ties his 2nd best Cup finish and best non plate race with 19th in his 97th start!

This was the perfect weekend. Saw top gun maverick Friday night, then saw one of my favorite bands Less Than Jake on Saturday, then topped it off watching 3 awesome races on Sunday with this Coca Cola 600 being one of the best 600’s I’ve watched to date.

I was slightly concerned with how this race would turn out. With the product we got last week at Texas, I wasn't really optimistic about how this would turn out. Similarishy tracks with comparable setups. The first half of the year was promising while hitting a major dip in these past couple weeks. Goodyear has dropped the ball this whole year. So just not something to be excited about. With that being said, I am pleased to say I was wrong. Def will be in discussion for best race of the year. Great job this week NASCAR. The 600 over the past years have produced snoozefest after snoozefest. Goodyear still needs to work on the tire as a whole. I'm still very disappointed with the tire product this year. Go Larson 5️⃣

Goodyear is not the problem, the cars are, Goodyear needs to grab ahold of NASCAR and tell them to get back to the drawing board and get that piece of shit car straightened out before they kill somebody.

@@jeremiahhardel2646 I def feel like it's just a major learning curve for these drivers for sure. While equipment quality is still a major aspect of this, some drivers just seem to grasp it better while others struggle. Honestly the only thing I really want in NASCAR right now is competition with tire companies. While NASCAR changing the actual tire size and the rim definitely has been a struggle for Goodyear, I just dont think they are taking responsibility for where they can improve. Bring in some competition in the tire department. I dont see how it can hurt anything 🤷🏽‍♂️

I think the majority of us can agree on 4 things: 1. The racing is really good this year. 2. NASCAR is throwing late cautions for no other reason than to spice up the finish. They don't affect safety, it's just for the show. 3. The new car is absolute garbage. The single lug, horrible tires, and the spin for no reason are unacceptable. 4. Tickets are too expensive.

When Briscoe spun out the yellow flag came out almost instantly, whereas earlier in the race similar spins didn't warrant a yellow. Was this just nascar's way of creating some excitement and turning the race into a green white checker? And, if nascar wanted more crashes (= excitement) they sure got it with the massive crash on the second last lap.

The best ever Coca-Cola 600 was the year (2005) the GoodYear tires exploded every 15 laps for 600 miles. That was incredible! The race today was the second best!

This was the best 600 in years, and I mean it. Amazing racing, spectacular crashes, and truly showing the testament to man and machine The 600 has regained its luster once again, and I cannot tell yall how amazing this race was! This was the best race of the season by far, and in my opinion, was better than Monaco and Indy! Amazing job NASCAR!
