This is a fantastic pour. Has all the WT flavor, everything 101 has but more refined and an overall higher quality experience. For $49.99 it is an absolute rebuy for me. I'm looking forward to seeing more 8 Year WT on shelves, once the anniversary celebrations are over.

I was really looking forward to this one as the regular 101 is a sentimental favorite. As much as I liked this it has zero heat or spice which is a big part of the original. I did a pinhook vertical of the 6, 7, 8 & the six & 8 tasted like totally different bourbons. Don’t get me wrong it’s very good but it’s something else now imho.

The 70th is leaps and bounds better than regular 101. Regular 101 is a good mixer not a sipper. The 70th is 100% a dang good sipper.
