T’au work because 40k needs a “straight man” (in the comedic sense) that is trying desperately to be normal in an absurd setting. That is, until the grimdark is turned up, and the T’au invasion feels like Desert Storm where the Imperials are the Iraq

*sip* this'll be fun Edit: as a tau fan I can't be anything less than ecstatic at the fact you're actively pushing nuance. It's very refreshing to see someone actually know what they're talking about on here without being "the T'au guy"

My biggest value in all things is evidence. I require actual sources for what I talk about here. So my favorite video subjects are when we have conflicting sources lol. Its fun to lay it all out and find where the truth realistically lies. Or where one side is obviously lying. That and I may not be a Tau fan. But the anti Tau fan who purposefully misrepresents their lore bothers me so much lmao. I refuse to take part.

9:47 See now thats a super interesting mashup of races/factions right there. It's more niche ones like that in the backgrounds of big events that are super cool to read about. :D

I love the Brachyura. Theyre just these tiny sentient crabs that are really good at making plasma generators of really high quality.

I got a video on that actually! Theres some really fun ones. After you do a lot of digging past Xenos that are essentially just a name on a page lol. There are so many that have no details.

There are (roughly) a million worlds in the Imperium. The quality of life varies drastically from world to world due to population density and resources. A world with a population 1 million has enough space that every family can own thousands of acres and live a wealthy life. A world with a population of 1 trillion has run out of space and every family lives a short poor existence. Just look at how countries vary in reality.

Can you give examples where menials generally live a good life?

Most of Aexe Cardinal's geography is unknown, but the terrain of the nation-state of Aexegary was idyllic, with a large number of forests, fields, and rivers in picturesque scenes, dotted with orderly towns and villages. The overall cultural and technological level of Aexe Cardinal was similar to that of Terra in the final century of the 2nd Millennium, with elegant cars, trains, and high-ranking military officers drawn from its planetary nobility. Aexegary was the largest and strongest of the seven different nation-states that composed the Aexe Alliance. The country's capital, Brunsgatte, was a grand city with docks and a commercial district located on the Naeme River. Straight Silver (Novel) by Dan Abnett While this does not directly answer your question, I use it as an example that the cultures of humanity are just as varied in fiction as they are in reality. Not everything is grimdark horror all the time. We need this to show off the savagery of Xenos and Chaos invasions.
