Mw3 was definitely one of my favorites. But for the wrong reasons. I Really liked the wave games mode. Special ops? I think? I don't know. But I played a all the games before that one and it seemed pretty cool. I didn't play much online but I definitely had some good memories with friends.

I started playing at BO1, and I was spoiled to start. BO1 seriously had so much stuff that I loved. I still consider it to have had the best set of DLC maps and some staple maps in Summit, Firing Range, and Nuketown. MW3 added 2v2 and 3v3 modes, and infected was a fun addition. Both games sit on the throne of CODs.

I think Cold War is a top 5 COD, especially given the constraints Treyarch had to make the game in, they had to make it on zoom calls at home, and on top of that had a 4th of the time that a normal COD development time is.

@Dakoda Fisher I loved the story (wish it had a part 2), the alien mode was awesome and all the DLC were just awesome. It was simply the original maps and the spawn that literally screwed up the entire fan base. I been playing since COD4 so I was sad when people talk down on Ghost. I hated Advance Warfare multiplayer even more then Ghost and I think it was the worst one, since it was heavily based on RNG Crates to get the best weapons.

WW2 after the big overhaul was great for those who came back and gave it a chance. They fixed so many of the gameplay problems from launch and added tons of new content. In terms of MP, it's the most fun I had with any CoD game since BO2.

I think WaW had some of the most skin crawling, and haunting music in all the cods to date. Remember that opening when you launched it? Terrifying for most first timers. Zombies probably was boring for people after a while, could argue it is the same way for the current zombies, and even the considered 'good' zombies too. But you have to give it to them for trying something out so different and fitting for the creepy vibe of the game. As a whole, it wasn't too good compared to BO2 (Which definitely is the GOAT!) but it at least brought something amazing into the CoD world. I think that your list is valid and probably a good baseline for understanding what us as players want in future CoDs! (Take notes developers) I personally believe that Vanguard should be below Dogshit tho hahaha.

I think BO4 multiplayer was really fun for me when I gave it a second chance. I think some DLC weapons ruined the game cough “Vmp” but besides that I think it balances everything well in today’s standards because of how good cod payers are and takes a bit more time to kill a player but if you got better at the game it’s no different from any other cod game kill time when you get used to it. Multiplayer is about strategy & surviving.

I enjoyed the longer ttk cuz it gave me a chance to run around the map and turn on somebody cuz you actually had to hit your shots. Games like MW19 and Vanguard had such a quick ttk that if you ran past a dude in a corner, you were dead instantly. My biggest pet peeve with shooter games is having to play super slow and tactical to the point where the game is boring

Vmp is a launch weapon, but damn I won’t lie the weapon balance for that game was questionable. A DLC gun that definitely broke some things was the XMC, the rehash of the MSMC from Bo2. And I would repeatedly get my ass shafted by the Olympia 💀

BO2 always number 1 and BO3 would be in 2nd place IMO. Advanced movement was not crazy as in AW, yet fun, much variety of maps even though some were recycled. Good create a class, good weapon selection. Newly implemented specialists, balanced maps and sites IMO. And it was the first game that I really grinded on to get Dark Matter. The only thing that ruined it for me was that they were implementing many new guns on the supply drops and players were heavily pushed to buy drops. New weapons were fun, but not really that good and it was hard getting them.

Mw3 and Bo2 were my first cod games and online multiplayer games I ever played when I first got xbox live back during cods peak in early 2013 (before ghosts was released). I put so much time from my childhood into those games. It was all I ever wanted to do. It changed my life and made some of the best memories. I happened to come from MW3 and BO2, and when I played Ghosts, it was alright, but a couple years ago, something clicked inside of me and Ghosts was my go-to up until my buddies finally convinced me to try the new Modern Warfare II. I would get bored of some random games and I would switch to Ghosts as a backup and keep leveling up my squad just for the heck of it. A good way to pass the time until I went to work for the day

I know Tyler probably based them off of the multi-player modes for the games, but if they were based off the other modes, I personally would have put IW up higher due to the ONLY saving grace it had, which was zombies. In my opinion, IW's zombies were some of the most entertaining zombies to play, and actually I have came back to IW just to try and beat all the easter eggs a couple weeks ago. But yeah, multi-player for IW pretty much sucked, i didn't mind it, but I would rather pkay Bo3 multi-player than IW multi-player.

He's so right about modern warfare 2 (2022), it was a really hyped game for no reason. There's nothing new, the maps are bad, and the perk system is seriously stupid. The movement is literally just modern warfare but with and without one feature, ledge hanging which I personally believe hinders me when I'm moving quickly and b-hoping which they took out for some reason. I'm not considering diving because it's not new obviously. And still with mw2 they haven't added anything new, at least not yet for all I know

I absolutely loved ghosts and I will fight anyone over it. It was so much fun, loved the gunplay, and a lot of the maps were awesome (a lot sucked tho) . The perk system was also incredible, so many options, and I loved being able to kit myself out however I wanted. I think ppl just gave it too much hate cuz it was the follow up to BO2, as well as coming out right before the next gen consoles. Loved it, ppl just never gave it a chance

Ppl tend to forget that Treyarch made Cold War from home during a pandemic. It wasn’t a perfect game by any means, but I enjoyed it and I think it got more hate than it deserved. Wildcat is right about the Cold War snipers tho, sooo fucking annoying that they had ZERO flinch and could still pop you even tho you were shooting tf outta them. Ya sure they had the slowest ADS speed they’ve ever had in a cod game, but the slowness could be COMPLETELY negated with speed/handling attachments making them stupid quick on top of having no flinch whatsoever.

Personally, I think Cold War should be on good because the mp maps were better than mw imo and zombies at first wasn't good, but really improved when they added mauer der toten. I do agree with your take on the snipers in Cold War.

The biggest game changer for Cold War zombies later on was definitely the Rampage Inducer. Made every game 10x more enjoyable

I loved the Zombies mode in CW straight from the jump. The MP maps weren't very good but still WAY better than almost every other game released since BO3. If it wasn't for snipers having no flinch, the MP was pretty fun

Call of Duty: WWII multiplayer was such a snoozefest, but I really enjoyed the campaign. I feel like that was the case with all of the WWII era games. Kinda hard to make multiplayer interesting when the weaponry wasn't so advanced I guess. Alrhough, I never played Vanguard, so I can't speak to that campaign or multiplayer, but the CoD WaW campaign is one of my all time favorites. Black Ops Campaigns (at least for 1 & 2) were also pretty good IMO.

WW2's MP was great after the overhaul update that came a few months in. It's just a shame that it came too little too late and so many people gave up on it before then.

MW2 (2022) has a great gun upgrade system, it makes you use other guns instead of just grinding out one single gun. I feel like if anyone says they hate it, it’s because they’re no good with other guns than the one they just got used to after using it for 3 days and know that they’re not good enough

I agree with this list. I didn’t play COD until WaW, so idk about COD4. Mw2 I feel like was my favorite because of the broken stuff but mainly because it was around the time I played the most online with friends outside of the beginning of Fortnite.

Cold war's zombies outbreak was pretty fun imo I oddly really enjoyed open world cod zombies and also I enjoyed the upgrade system, it added a sense of grind past camos and unlocking weapons but in terms of multiplayer it was pretty dog

My first introduction to Call of Duty was Call of Duty 2 and I rank it probably a good maybe very good just for the fact of yes multiplayer was not really a thing but the campaign was fun and actually had real battles and they teamed up with I believe either the History Channel or Military Channel for real historical commentary on the war so that was pretty neat but yes Black Ops 2 is the GOAT of Call of Duty Games and one of my favorite games ever.

same thing with Infinite Warefare. Best CoD campaign imo. Zombies wasn’t bad. Pretty fun, multiplayer is awful though. I’d put it in high B tier overall.

Ghosts had a great campaign story-wise, don't remember the actual gameplay much though, story-wise though it's one of the few that I can remember almost as well as og MW2 and BO1

I started cod online MP in BO1. I believe I say that in the video. So then I went back to play those games after their prime and they just arne't that good. Super broken and poorly balanced. I kept them in good tho bc I ackowledge what they did to move the franchise forward. I think those 2 games are the definition of rose tinted glasses when ppl talk about them.

When he said, "Ghosts... WAS DOGSHIT!" I literally almost cheered, cultured. Edit though, OG MW2 should definitely be higher if you aren't considering the tinted glasses mentality lol if you're not sentimental that's one thing but the game's maps, gun mechanics and campaign were amazing. The game mechanics allowed for the best version of quick scoping, trick shotting and sniping in general spawning one of the most successful groups on KZbin in FaZe and the maps were some of the community's all time favorites like Terminal and Rust. Also the campaign? One of the best video game twists even to this day! WAY too satisfying putting that knife in Shepard's eye.

Top 4, I understand completely and it's super hard to put the games in any particular order. I personally slide MW2 up there as we've never had anything that insane. My only knock on 2019 is that it did too much in the campaign, and it felt like it was trying to 1-up every disaster it portrayed. I give some lee-way to COD Ghosts as you can feel that the devs were asked to do way too much with it being the 1st "next gen" game. Extinction was (and still is) promising, the multiplayer could've been MUCH better with smaller maps. It could've been as much a launching point for an Extinction story, as COD WAW was for Zombies. The campaign was ass, I don't care what people argue for here. Since CODs whole deal is multiplayer however, this game remains a "meh" COD WWII: By far the biggest cash grab; preyed on the nostalgia of a WWII game at the time, COUNTLESS microtransactions that didn't even offer a skin variety, and the only thing I remember about that game was flamethrower shotguns being unstoppable for the first month, an average campaign that failed to live up to its predecessor COD WAW, and a zombies that tried wayyy too hard. Literally everything I remember about this game is a bad memory, dog water. COD WAW, definitely in the good tier for the time. FANTASTIC campaign, it's the 2nd massive COD multiplayer so it was rough around the edges but was solid, zombies was also born here and 2 of those maps are iconic. Cold War had an extremely terrible multiplayer initially, but it did have a solid campaign and decent zombies. The zombies is super easy by comparison to literally anything else, but it's different and does succeed in some areas. Vanguard is dog, it's not even an original COD. The use if recycled assets is an insult to the games they came from, this game belongs below the basement

Nah MW19 had horrendous maps, encouraged camping way too much, the 725 is still OP after 6 nerfs, ttk was too fast, doors, footstep volume, no dead silence perk, etc
