There is a lot of misconception regarding the collar with the antenna. It is not to track the cat but instead to enable the cat to listen to its favourite radio channel, the BBC's World Service. Does it need to be this big to pick up the signal? Well no but the cat also likes to listen in on NASA conversations with the Space Station. A cat's got to have some entertainment you know. It was either this or a satellite dish on her back.

@morton christie They are smaller or the same size as a domestic cat
@morton christie It's the domestic tabbys wild ancestor. My friend had a tabby, most playful hyperactive cat ever. Forever chasing balls of foil or wrestling your hand though she never bit or scratched too hard, only left little white marks on your hands. Nicknamed the kangaroo kitty because she was so bouncy she would jump really high and catch the ball of foil if you threw it or bat it away and run after it, pounce on it then roll over and flick it back up then jump up and bat it away again. She would follow us down the street to the shops or friends houses too.

Larvitar Dratini the last known cat species to go extinct was the saber tooth and it was over 10 thousand years ago while cats are known to outcompete dogs in terms of hunting for food and are responsible for dozens or even more dog species going extinct because of them so far as of today there hasn’t been any big cat species going extinct unlike some dogs so I’m pretty sure that most cats are able to do fine without us breeding them

Its so interesting how Jahna and black-footed cats have figured out how to adapt so well to their area. They seem to have fewer predators and their families seem to survive to adulthood better than other cats. Lionesses often have to worry about hyenas, rival males or even their own family members at times killing their young, as well as cheetahs who have a harder time hiding their young, while having very few defenses to protect them. Meanwhile a lion’s hunting success rate is like 16%, while the black footed cat’s is about 60%

What's the best way to spread awareness? People have always been fascinated with members of the cat family. I remember seeing one of these guys all balled up in a zoo habitat peeking out at all of the people staring at it. Looked terrified and that was kind of sad but it was amazing to see the little guy. People will always want to know more about cat species and see them in zoos or in the wild, (from a safe distance of course.). If everyone assumes that it's someone else's responsibility, that one particular cat doesn't make a difference or one small donation of a dollar then there will be none left. What can we do?
